Source: Bombs were made with Pressure Cookers in Duffle bags

(Media Credit: Gateway Pundit) The blasts were likely detonated by timers -- not by cell phones, a law enforcement official said. The U.S. government has warned federal agencies in the past that pressure cookers -- air-tight pots used to quickly cook or preserve foods -- have been turned into bombs in parts of the world. A Department of Homeland Security memo called it "a technique commonly taught in Afghan terrorist training camps." "Typically, these bombs are made by placing TNT or other explosives in a pressure cooker and [...]

The war in Afghanistan is in its tenth year and the last three years have been the bloodiest since the war began. According to icasualties.org, the number of casualties doubled from 2008 to 2009 from 155 U.S. deaths in 2008 to 319 in 2009. 2010 was by far the bloodiest year with 499 US casualties, while 2011 comes in as a close second. Obama Considers Releasing Top Taliban Detainee Jump Start Peace Talks
The White House is considering the release of a top Taliban Detainee as part of a prisoner exchange for a peace deal with the Taliban. 1851 US soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan and more than 15,000 have been wounded. The Taliban ruled Afghanistan prior to being driven out by US Forces and the Northern Alliance. While the Obama Administration gloats when it comes to taking out Al Qaeda, it still hasn't been able to eliminate the Taliban. Earlier this year the White House denied having held talks with the Taliban. Now, in rush to end the war in Afghanistan, Obama is willing to hand over some of the most dangerous Gitmo detainees. Surely even Obama can't believe that the Taliban would just lay down their arms for a prisoner exchange and share power with Hamid Karzai. [...]
