Mitt Romney already is name dropping possible running mates

Romney's running mate Mitt Romney already is name dropping when it comes to a possible running mate. At an event in Virginia, he offered up the names of Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Florida Sen. Mark Rubio. Romney has done this sort of thing before. Four years ago, appearing in South Carolina, he said Sen. Jim DeMint and then Gov. Mark Sanford, both of South Carolina, would make good running mates. He also tossed out the names of Newt Gingrich and Jeb Bush back then. Doherty leaves Pawlenty for Romney Rep. Shaun Doherty is too young to qualify as a running mate, but Mitt Romney must be pleased the state lawmaker from Pelham joined his team last week.
