SC Lt Gov Bauer "Proves" He Wasn't Behind Haley Attacks, didn't answer polygraph questions on his own sexual history
South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer (R) "has released the results of a lie detector test which he says proves he isn't behind a string of attacks against one of his Republican opponents, Rep. Nikki Haley (R), WIS-TV reports. "In a GOP gubernatorial debate last week in Charleston, Haley accused Bauer of being responsible for charges of marital infidelity against her." Meanwhile, Bauer had previously told WCSC-TV that he would "absolutely" take a polygraph about his own rumored sexual history, as he has asked Haley to do. SC State Senator Jake Knotts Calls Gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley a RagHead
Just one day after Gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley was accused of having a one night stand with another campaigns political operative, South Carolina politics if the state that keeps on giving to late night comedic talk shows. Today, during a local Podcast called PubPolitics, State Senator Jake Knotts appeared on the program unannounced and went into a racial tirade. Knotts said (paraphrasing here) that we have one RagHead in the White House and didn't need a Raghead (referring to Haley who is Indian American) in the State House. The Term Raghead is a racial/Ethnic slur like unto calling a Black person the "N" Word. Another ball drops in South Carolina Politics. Gubernatorial candidate Andre Bauer Campaign Adviser has resigned over what is called, “inappropriate conduct”. Knowing that Marchant is connected to South Carolina political consultant Rod Shealy who wouldn’t mind taking down Nikki Haley, we wonder if the Haley/Folks affair allegations are connected here. Update: Marchant was canned for saying he had a "one night stand" with Haley. So now the Bauer and Barrett Campaign are throwing mud in Haley's direction.... Hmmm you wonder why now? Haley still has a double digit lead 6 days before the primary. Just today, another Haley campaign ad came out, this time featuring her husband and children. Friday in Columbia, South Carolina, two of the women who are showing America what real feminism is, will appear together, at which time Sarah Palin will officially endorse Nikki Haley for South Carolina Governor. I had the honor of meeting Nikki Haley, and hearing her speak, in Atlanta at the Red State Gathering last Summer. She’s even more impressive in person than she is on paper (or web). Newly single Governor Mark Sanford spend the weekend in the Florida keys for His "Soul Mate". The Governor admitted to reporters that he is trying to re-kindle the relationship that led to his Scandal. Heck he lost he wife over the affair, why not try to save what he can? Politically it would have been better for him to work on his relationship with South Carolina before carrying on a relationship the "woman". SC First Lady, Governor Issues Press Release
I am so thankful for the overwhelming support and prayers we have received from people all across South Carolina. I am literally in awe of how blessed we are to have such love and support from family and friends, old and new. It is with this support, and after much careful and prayerful consideration, that I have decided to move back to our home in Charleston with our sons for the upcoming school year. From there, we will work to continue the process of healing our family. While we will be leaving Columbia, we will return often, and I will remain engaged in activities in my role as First Lady, acknowledging that my responsibilities to my family come first.
