Politisite provides projections based on a Momentum modality similar to that used in projecting stock prices. Politisite does NOT endorse any candidate during the primary process. Rick Santorum’s Daughter’s Diagnosis: What Is Trisomy 18?
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is facing some tough challenges both on the campaign trail and at home. His daughter Isabella, or “Bella,” 3, was hospitalized over the weekend with pneumonia, a common complication for children who are born with the rare genetic condition known as trisomy 18. During a call with Florida voters on Sunday, Jan. 29, Santorum said his daughter was recovering: “She without a doubt has turned a corner.” Trisomy 18 causes patients to have three copies of chromosome 18 instead of two. The additional DNA can lead to medical and developmental problems affecting the brain, heart and other organs, which make it difficult for most affected infants to survive past the first few weeks. Fifty percent of infants born with the disorder die [...]

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has opened a double-digit lead in Florida as the perception grows among Republican primary voters that he is the strongest general election candidate against President Obama. The state's GOP Primary is on Tuesday. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Florida Republican Primary Voters, conducted Saturday, shows Romney up by 16 points with 44% support. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is a distant second at 28%. These figures reflect a significant turnaround over the past week. Last Sunday, just after his big win in the South Carolina Primary, Gingrich led Romney by nine. By the middle of this past week, Romney was back in control with an eight-point advantage. Despite all the ups and downs, the results today are [...]

Rick Santorum and Ron Paul will be there too, but the focus will be on the two undisputed front-runners in Florida, which holds its primary on Tuesday, Jan. 31. This is the last debate before then and may be the most important debate of this cycle (18th in the series) . (ht: Human Events) A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll of Florida Republicans shows Newt Gingrich 37%, Mitt Romney 28%, Rick Santorum 18% and Ron Paul 12%. This poll contradicts the other [...]

NBC ‘Rock Center’ GOP Debate From Tampa Bay Tweet-By-Tweet
By: Edmund Jenks - West Coast Editor With barely enough time to soak in the resounding and unexpected win in the South Carolina primary by former insider turned outsider, Newt Gingrich, NBC News Rock Center with Brian Williams is conducting the first of two televised GOP field debates before the Florida primary. The primary result in South Carolina (Newt - 40% vs Mitt - 28% ... a 12% spread) put egg on the faces of many recognizable Republican leadership faces, the most recognizable of which was the 2008 presidential election's Republican nominee, John McCain, New Jersey Governor Chris Cristie, and past Republican Political Party leader, Hailey Barbour. This potential Republican 'ruling class' drubbing may continue in Florida if the most recent polls from Rasmussen are to be [...]
