President Obama’s remarks Immigration enforcement changes June 15, 2012

REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT ON IMMIGRATION Rose Garden     2:09 P.M. EDT   THE PRESIDENT:  Good afternoon, everybody.  This morning, Secretary Napolitano announced new actions my administration will take to mend our nation’s immigration policy, to make it more fair, more efficient, and more just -- specifically for certain young people sometimes called “Dreamers.”   These are young people who study in our schools, they play in our neighborhoods, they’re friends with our kids, they pledge allegiance to our flag.  They are Americans in their heart, in their minds, in every single way but one:  on paper.  They were brought to this country by their parents -- sometimes even as infants -- and often have no idea that they’re undocumented until [...]

Obama: JP Morgan ‘Is One Of The Best-Managed Banks There Is’

Obama: JP Morgan ‘Is One Of The Best-Managed Banks There Is’

Recently, Barack Obama has refrained from mentioning Dodd-Frank as one of his big accomplishments as President.  That’s fortunate, because had Obama used that as a campaign claim this month, the huge loss taken by JP Morgan and one-time Obama ally Jamie Dimon would have done serious damage.  As it is, Politico wonders whether Obama might have a big problem convincing voters that he’s done anything significant to address the underlying issues that created the 2008 financial-system collapse: The giant $2 billion trading loss at JPMorgan Chase highlights a central problem in President Barack Obama’s case for a second term: Four years after the financial crisis nearly brought the nation to its knees, very little appears to have changed. via Has anything changed on Wall Street? Loophole will Let Congressional Staffers Opt Out of Health Care Requirement

Loophole will Let Congressional Staffers Opt Out of Health Care Requirement

When Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi said we need to pass the bill to see whats in it, It may not have been congressional mispeak.  A few fact checkers are finding some interesting things about the Universal health care bill.  One fact is it might not be, 'universal' at all. One of the major problems with President Obama's Health Care reform is that it is NOT universal.  Dozens of top congressional leaders and staffers will be exempt or can opt-out of the Health care Reform requirements you and I will have to enroll in.  If the general public chooses not to carry health insurance, they will be required to pay a Fine or have their tax refunds attached.  Not so if you are amoung the elite in Congress.  One wonders if equal protection under the law means anything to Congressman [...]

Rep. Wasserman Schultz: There were no Dirty deals on health Care reform

Rep. Wasserman Schultz: There were no Dirty deals on health Care reform

No Dirty deals on Health Care?  Dems really do think constituents are stupid. From Gateway Pundit Last night, I attended and took on Debbie Wasserman Schultz at her SEIU thug controlled townhall. She played a propaganda film with lying Dem talking points and filled the place early with 3/4 of the people to intimidate. She so-called meeting was tightly controlled. Outside there were 100’s of protesters….and thugs shoving tea party people. The police force was over the top. I asked her to defend her party’s dirty deals and backroom deals….and then I asked her why she has been silent on Obama humiliating Israel’s P.M. at the W.H. She refused to answer the latter, and lied about the deals….saying there were NO DIRTY DEALS. Here is the video of Wasserman-Schultz being [...]

Report: Health Care Reform Polarized the Country

Report: Health Care Reform Polarized the Country

In March, the number of Democrats increased by just over a full percentage point and the number of Republicans increased by just under a full percentage point. This is consistent with other data showing that the health care debate heightened passions on both sides of the aisle. After declining for four straight months to the lowest levels on record, the number of Democrats increased a point from a month ago. At 36.2%, the number of Democrats in the country is down two-and-a-half points from a year ago and down five percentage points from November 2008. See the History of Party Trends from January 2004 to the present. Also in March, the number of Republicans inched up to 32.9%. That’s in the middle of the range the party has occupied for the past two years and down about a [...]

Nearly One-Third of Doctors Could Leave Medicine if Health-Care Reform Bill Passes

Nearly One-Third of Doctors Could Leave Medicine if Health-Care Reform Bill Passes

(CNSNews.com) - Nearly one-third of all practicing physicians may leave the medical profession if President Obama signs current versions of health-care reform legislation into law, according to a survey published in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine. The survey, which was conducted by the Medicus Firm, a leading physician search and consulting firm based in Atlanta and Dallas, found that a majority of physicians said health-care reform would cause the quality of American medical care to “deteriorate” and it could be the “final straw” that sends a sizeable number of doctors out of medicine. More than 29 percent (29.2) percent of the nearly 1,200 doctors who responded to the survey said they would quit the profession or retire early if health reform [...]

Waxman: We Want Government Funded Abortions

Waxman: We Want Government Funded Abortions

The pro-life Democrat leading the charge in the House against passage of the Senate health insurance reform bill said Friday that a key committee chairman told him that Democrats want abortions to be paid by a federally-funded nationalized health insurance system. Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., who's been so far out in front of the debate about abortion coverage that he earned himself a primary challenger over it, said Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., told him he wants to change current law that bans federal funding for abortion. In an interview with Marquette, Mich., radio station WKQS' Mark & Walk morning show, Stupak described what he said was a conversation with Waxman about the Senate's version of the health care overhaul. That bill contains weaker language than the [...]

Pelosi: We need to pass ObamaCare so that the public can find out what’s in it

O.K. I'm confused.. Speaker of the House said: We need to pass the health care reform bill. so that we can see whats in it.  Hmmm.  That new spirit of transparency is confusing.  I really thought that candidate Obama said that Bill would be posted on the internet, so that we could see what was in them.  I guess Pelosi wants us to have a grab bag surprise.. pass the bill and get surprised when we see what we just passed.  I am excited, aren't you?  Hot Air reports: No foolin’. It has, my friends, come to this. You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is [...]
