By Jay Carney In Washington, scandals metastasize, growing and changing until we can't remember what they were about in the beginning. A bungled burglary became a cancer on the presidency, forcing Richard Nixon to resign in disgrace. A money-losing Arkansas real estate deal led to Monica, a blue dress and Bill Clinton's impeachment. Already, the furor over the dismissal of eight U.S. Attorneys has shifted focus from the crass but essentially routine exercise of political patronage to the essential project of George W. Bush's presidency: its deliberate and aggressive efforts to expand and protect Executive power. Which is why divining the true motives behind the dismissals is only part of the battle under way in Washington. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney have spent six years [...]
by Joe Keck According to Jay Carney, Press Secretary for the Obama administration, "Benghazi happened a long time ago". It's been eleven months. Which prompts one to wonder about Carney's criteria for relativity. Like most of us, I have had some of my belongings stolen. Tools, musical instruments, a bicycle, other things. How long does it take for all of those items to no longer be mine? Among my possessions that thieves took in the past was a very nice guitar that I loved. That was over ten years ago. Would Jay Carney then, consider it to now be the rightful property of the thief who took it? Apparently to the Obama Press Secretary, time not only heals all wounds, but all responsibilities as well. Hey Jay, news flash. Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Ty Woods. [...]
Obama the President for everyone except Black people by Kevin Johnson As President Barack Obama begins his second term, there is something noticeably different about his new cabinet - the absence of African-American leaders and advisors. The Congressional Black Caucus chair, Rep. Marcia Fudge of Ohio recently sent the president a letter stating, “You have publicly expressed your commitment to retaining diversity within your cabinet. However, the people you have chosen to appoint in this new term have hardly been reflective of this country’s diversity.” When one compares President Obama to his predecessors, the decrease in African-American appointments is astounding. In American presidential history, President William Jefferson Clinton has been, by far, the most [...]
By Joe Keck Mr. President, you delivered a speech to The University of Connecticut on gun violence a couple of days ago, and as per that speech, I have some questions I'd like to ask you. For one thing, Mr. President, considering you used the term, "common sense" six times in the course of your address, I 'd like to ask you exactly what you think 'common sense' means? Here what the dictionary thinks it means: Common sense: good sense and sound judgment in practical matters. So, Mr. President, would you say it's "common sense" for babies who are victims of an abortion attempt to be left outside the womb to die of exposure on a gurney? The Born Alive Act is something you voted against in Chicago when you were a senator there. Just wondering. Mr. President, in your speech, [...]

April 1, 2013 - The White House releases a special video message from the President. Learn more at http://wh.gov via A Special Message From the President - YouTube.
The White House reports that President Obama's fiscal 2014 budget will be released April 10th more than two months late. The problem here is, the Senate has already passed their budget, making the President's a worthless talking point. Republicans have lampooned Obama for failing to turn in his budget on time this year. The White House has said it has been delayed because of the great uncertainty about federal finances this year – including the “fiscal cliff” debate at the start of the year and the lack of clarity surrounding the deep spending cuts known as sequestration that took effect March 1. via Obama to release budget on April 10.
