Wisconsin Recall Election – Politisite Political Projections – Walker +5%

Wisconsin Recall Election – Politisite Political Projections – Walker +5%

Politisite provides projections based on a Momentum modality similar to that used in projecting stock prices. Our modality projects what the election results will look like on election day. Politisite does NOT endorse any candidate during the primary process. Further, we do not receive funding from any political campaign. Having said that, here are our projections for the Wisconsin Recall Election for June 5, 2012 Governor Scott Walker  - 52%  (+5) Mayor Tom Barrett - 47% We believe that these results will reflect the percentage once all the votes have been counted. We do see Walker with some upward momentum on election day. Meaning Walker could exceed our expectations. Even so, we think the outcome will reflect what we have outlined here. Bad news for Obama – The Cook Report

Bad news for Obama – The Cook Report

By Charlie Cook Regular readers of this column know that in analyzing the 2012 presidential race, I have been preoccupied—some would say obsessed—with the state and direction of the U.S. economy. Presidential elections have many moving parts and can turn on many things, but rarely is a single factor more important than the economy when an incumbent is up for reelection. The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, conducted among 1,000 adults from April 13-17, supports that view. Overall, 49 percent said they approve of the job that President Obama is doing, and 46 percent said they disapprove. The poll, conducted by Democrat Peter Hart and Republican Bill McInturff, pegs Obama’s approval rating just 1 point higher than the current averages by RealClearPolitics and Huffpost’s [...]

Zogby Poll: Herman Cain Leads by 10 percentage points, Perry 18%, Romney 17%, Paul 11%

UTICA, NY--Rick Perry has tumbled by more than 20 percentage points over the past month among Republican presidential primary voters and is now second to Herman Cain, who leads the field with 28%. Mitt Romney received little benefit from Perrys fall, garnering 17% of the vote for third place. As for President Barack Obama, both his job approval (42%) and the percentage who believe he deserves re-election (37%) are little changed from recent polls, but he does seem to be winning back some supporters who have been disappointed in his job performance. These results are from an IBOPE Zogby interactive poll conducted Sept. 23-26 of all likely voters and of likely Republican primary voters. Announced GOP Candidates (GOP primary voters) If the Republican primary for President were held [...]

45% Rate Obama Good or Excellent Down 19 Points in just 6 months

Forty-five percent (45%) of U.S. voters now give President Obama good or excellent marks on leadership, down three points from last month and down 19 points from when he took office in January, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Nearly one-third of voters (32%) see Obama as a poor leader, down two points from July. The percentage of voters who give the president a poor rating on leadership is double the level it was the week after his inauguration. Slightly more women (48%) than men (44%) give the president positive marks on leadership. Eighty-two percent (82%) of Democrats say the president is doing a good or excellent job, but 57% of Republicans rate his performance as poor. Voters not affiliated with either party are much more closely divided: 39% say [...]
