Just like Mideast Peace Talks? Obama’s Limo Breaks Down in Israel
Obama's Limo stalled, Secret Service says they don't know the cause! Some say it was filled with Diesel Fuel. I know, It is the SEQUESTER! Those damned Republicans! The official limousine awaiting President Barack Obama's arrival in Israel malfunctioned after its driver refueled it using gasoline rather than diesel fuel, an official said Wednesday. The limo failed to start, and required towing in Jerusalem at 10 a.m. local time. Obama, who landed in Tel Aviv around noon, was not in the country at the time the limo was towed. A second presidential limo was brought to transport Obama. "We experienced mechanical trouble with one of the cars," Edwin Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, told a pool reporter traveling with Obama. "We don't know the cause." via CNN.com [...]
ARGO Reminds Us of How It All Began
By Kevin Williams The Ben Affleck-directed film ARGO opens today and after seeing it, I am compelled to tell you dear reader that you should see this film and bring as many of your friends as possible. As a film-goer, as a filmmaker and as a Politics & History buff – this is the best film of the year in my humble opinion. Artistically and as serious entertainment, ARGO delivers the goods in spades. As an 11 year-old, I remember the start of the Iran Hostage Crisis quite clearly. From the first images of our fellow Americans’ bandaged-covered heads to Ayatollah Khomeini’s frightening image to the growing impotence of our Government to Ted Koppel saying, “Day XXX of the Crisis in Iran. This is NIGHTLINE.” I remember the hundreds and thousands of American [...]

Panetta: Iranian Threat Spreads – Man-portable air-defense systems
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta accused Iran's paramilitary force of an intensified campaign to destabilize the Middle East by smuggling antiaircraft weapons to its militant allies. Iran's export of so-called manpads—antiaircraft missiles that can be carried by a single person—represent what Mr. Panetta called a dangerous escalation. "There is no question when you start passing manpads around, that becomes a threat—not just to military aircraft but to civilian aircraft," Mr. Panetta told The Wall Street Journal in an interview describing shifting threats to the U.S. as he prepares to leave his post. "That is an escalation." Western officials have long worried about the spread of such weapons and the risk they pose to airline passengers as well as to military helicopters and [...]
The Democratic Motto: “It Makes Sense Not To Make Sense”
“What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.” This statement, uttered by Secretary To Hate Hillary Clinton, is perhaps one of the most ridiculous lines ever heard from an administration that prides itself on being ridiculous. To all Americans that still have some semblance of a brain, its contradictory words perfectly embody the reason(s) so many of us distrust politicians. The only things steadily growing in this country are spending, debts, and the lengths of our leaders’ noses. Sensible people know that finding out details of the Benghazi incident, just like any other incident in history, or any event in our daily lives, is not only important, but vital to our very [...]
ELECTION 2012: Morning-after reality: No easy answers to gridlock
From illegal immigrants to defense contractors and millionaires to Medicaid patients, Americans had plenty riding on Tuesday’s outcome — but few were expecting the election to provide answers to the gridlock that has prevented Washington from tackling the big issues The agenda is extensive and seemingly growing longer every week: Another trillion-dollar deficit is looming in 2013, debt has topped $16 trillion, the immigration system is broken, the tax code needs an overhaul, gas prices and unemployment remain stubbornly high, a final decision on the Keystone pipeline lingers, Iran’s nuclear program looms ever larger, and al Qaeda may be resurgent in parts of the Middle East. Some problems won’t even wait for Inauguration Day, Jan. 20. The new year will usher in higher [...]
Emails: White House, State Department knew Islamic militants attacked Benghazi consulate within 2 hrs
Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show. The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks. The brief emails also show how U.S. diplomats described the attack, even as it was still under way, to Washington. U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Benghazi assault, which President Barack Obama and other U.S. officials ultimately [...]
