Was Adam Lanza an NRA Member?

Was Adam Lanza an NRA Member?

The National Rifle Association on Thursday addressed for the first time the question of whether Adam Lanza or his mother Nancy Lanza were ever members of the gun rights group. The answer, the NRA said, is no. The lobbying organization made the statement after it was revealed that police had discovered NRA certificates among Lanza's possessions. In a sharply worded statement, the NRA said, "There is no record of a member relationship between Newtown killer Adam Lanza, nor between Nancy Lanza, A. Lanza or N. Lanza with the National Rifle Association. Reporting to the contrary is reckless, false and defamatory." The statement came in response to the release Thursday of search warrants from the home of Adam Lanza, the man responsible for the shooting deaths of 26 people in December at [...]

Why All Americans Should Worry About One Little Filmmaker With Baggage

Why All Americans Should Worry About One Little Filmmaker With Baggage

By Kevin Williams - Guest Op-Ed A few weeks ago, we all learned about the terrible attacks upon our Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and our Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Our Ambassador Christopher Stevens, a good man by all accounts, and Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen A. Doherty were murdered in Benghazi by Islamist extremists led by an Al Qaeda member released from Gitmo (Prisoner #557). As bad as these events were, what was almost as bad was and is the Obama Administration’s lack of focus on the real threat involved. Instead, they responded to these incidents by blaming them on an obscure, poorly-made film called The Innocence of Muslims. Actually, it was just a fourteen-minute film trailer, but that isn’t the point. From jump, the scape-goating of this YouTube film trailer and [...]

Occupy Cleveland members Accused of Terrorist Plot

Occupy Cleveland members Accused of Terrorist Plot

From Buckeye Battle State The kids next door were planning to blow up the bridge you commute to work on everyday. Okay, maybe they aren't exactly the kids next door, but they could easily be like one of the people you meet on a daily basis. They are young. Four of the five men between the ages of 20 and 26, the other 35. What they planned to do was heinous and potentially catastrophic. FBI agents say Douglas L. Wright (20), Brandon L. Baxter (20), Anthony Hayne (35),  Connor C. Stevens (20) and Joshua S. Stafford (23) were caught attempting to purchase C-4 from an undercover FBI agent in order to detonate on Brecksville-Northfield High Level Bridge outside Cleveland, Ohio. The group had been regular attendants of the Occupy Cleveland movement with two of them [...]

20 most Liberal members of Congress according to Heritage Action Score Card

20 most Liberal members of Congress according to Heritage Action Score Card

With each vote cast in Congress, freedom either advances or recedes. Heritage Action’s new legislative scorecard allows Americans to see whether their Members of Congress are fighting for freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society. The scorecard is comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of conservatism, and includes legislative action on issues both large and small. Heritage Action's legislative scorecard isn't graded on a curve – it is tough and we don't apologize. After all, we are conservatives, not tenured university professors.     State District Name Party Score% CA 43 Rep. Joe Baca D 0% AZ 8 Rep. Gabrielle Giffords D 0% DC 79 Del. Bankrupt ACORN still has an income, deducting money from former members

Bankrupt ACORN still has an income, deducting money from former members

It must be the Ghost of ACORN past!  ACORN doesn't exist (like Area 51)  but still can deduct your money.  ACORN attorney says they have no bank account for the money to go into.  ACORN cannot tell a lie! A Delaware woman says ACORN as recently as two weeks ago deducted money from her bank account, despite countless efforts to cancel her membership with the now-bankrupt community housing organization. In 2009, Kerry Sheldon signed up for a membership with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now -- known more commonly as ACORN -- to get mortgage counseling when she started to worry about losing her home to foreclosure. “It didn’t seem like a bad deal,” says Sheldon. “I was excited somebody was going to help me.” She says she paid ACORN $10 a month in [...]

Who are the Most Conservative Members Of Congress? McCain pulls a hard right and lands next to DeMint

Sen. John McCain of Arizona is not the Maverick he once was.  He now rates more conservative then ever.  So much so that he is tied for first along with 7 others. Sen. John McCain of Arizona is just one of eight Republicans who tied as most conservative senator in National Journal’s 2010 vote ratings. This is the first time McCain has received such a high conservative ranking. Here’s a look at the senators who are joining him as the Top Ten Most Conservative Senators: Tied for 1st – Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo. Barrasso moved further right on the conservative scale. In 2009 he was 13th most conservative senator. Tied for 1st – Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga. AFL-CIO’s Trumka Talks to the White House Every Day, Obama hasn’t met with some members of his own cabinet.

AFL-CIO’s Trumka Talks to the White House Every Day, Obama hasn’t met with some members of his own cabinet.

I wonder who is more important to Obama,  Union Business or Government Business.  The old saw is you make time for the important things or people in you life.   Obama or Someone at the White House Speaks with AFL-CIO president everyday and meets with him twice a week.  Another report says that the President hasn't met with members of his own cabinet in his first two years in Office. AFL-CIO’s Trumka Talks to the White House Every Day, Visits Twice a Week?! Notice the smug way he leans back and drapes his arms over the chairs. Of course he doesn’t say he talks to the President every day, only to someone in the White House. Still, is he really there a couple times a week every week? If so, that should be a national news story. Is anyone in the press corps going to ask [...]

Undecided Democrats hide from Tea Party activists

Undecided Democrats hide from Tea Party activists

Dave Walker wasn’t happy when he showed up to Rep. Jason Altmire’s office to plead with the Pennsylvania congressman over President Obama’s health-care bill. The Democratic lawmaker’s office was a popular destination for the more than 1,000 Tea Partiers who stormed Capitol Hill Tuesday morning because Altmire, an original no-vote for the bill, is viewed as a potential vote switcher. Walker — who showed up to the office after a 12-hour bus ride with fellow activists from Ocala, Fla. — became agitated when a nervous-yet-dutiful Altmire intern told him he didn’t know if the congressman was in the office and would take down Walker’s information instead. Even though Democratic leadership sent out a memo yesterday instructing freshman and sophomore House Democrats [...]

Video: Congressman Carnahan explains “right-wing assault” from Union Members

After his town-hall meeting, Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO) decried the “assault” on his constituent meetings by right-wing activists. Jamie Allman, a St., Louis talk-show host, attended Carnahan’s press conference the next day and asked Carnahan to explain why the only people arrested for assault at his town-hall meeting were ObamaCare supporters — specifically, union thugs who assaulted opponents of the health-care reform plan. Suddenly, Carnahan got a lot more universal in his accusations: It “got out of control on both sides”? Did anyone from the opposition start cracking heads at that rally? They may have been loud and angry about the government essentially nationalizing 15% of the private economy, but until the unions began showing up to these rallies, there hadn’t been [...]
