How the Left Interpreted the Midterms

How the Left Interpreted the Midterms

For 34-year-old Adam Green, the midterm elections were not a repudiation of liberalism but a rejection of Barack Obama's accommodating style. "The only way to get the Republicans to the table," he says, "is to punch them in the face real hard on one issue." So when he read this month about White House aides conceding that they would likely support a tax-cut extension for the richest 2% of Americans — in violation of a core campaign pledge — Green took to his e-mail. "President Obama, ARE YOU KIDDING?" he wrote to the 600,000-strong e-mail list of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which he helped found. "Fight the Republicans already!" (See how the White House is grappling with a new reality.) Within days, more than 143,000 people signed the petition calling for Obama to [...]

Top Ten Liberal Biased American Journalists

Top Ten Liberal Biased American Journalists

Number 10: Neil Steinberg, Chicago Sun-Times As a citizen of the state with one of the worst economic climates in the country, one with an ex-governor in jail and another likely headed there (to add to the other two that once sat behind bars), the state with the worst budget crisis in the nation, I have to nominate at least one Illinois journo to the list of most left-biased. Naturally, there are several from which to choose. There’s the lightweight Richard Roeper whose prosaic columns appear in the Chicago Sun-Times. It was Roeper who once said, “I just couldn’t shake hands and smile with President Bush,” and who has reveled in attacking Sarah Palin. Two more Sun-Timesians in the running would be the angry Laura Washington who never met a man or a white person she [...]

Kagan, "We Live in a Society Marred by Racial and Gender Inequality’ so why didn't you hire any?

My Favorite Elena Kagin quote,  ‘We Live in a Society Marred by Racial and Gender Inequality’ so why didn't you hire any? If this where a GOP Nominee, Kagan would not fly, She has a  dismal diversity hiring record.  Never Hired an African-American Hired all whites one Asian-American, and only 5 Woman From Roland S. Martin, CNN Political Analyst If a white Republican president of the United States appointed a white male as his next Supreme Court justice, and upon the inspection of his record, it was discovered that of the 29 full-time tenured or tenured track faculty he hired as dean of Harvard Law, nearly all of them were white men, this would dominate the headlines. It would be reasonable to conclude that the special interest groups that vigorously fight for diversity -- [...]

The Left wonders if Supreme Court Nominee is Qualified to replace Stevens

The Left wonders if Supreme Court Nominee is Qualified to replace Stevens

Some left leaners are already questioning if Supreme Court Nominee Elana Kagan is qualified to replace Justice Stevens.  Some are aligning Kagan with Bush Nominee Harriet Miers. Bush touted Miers as a "you have to trust me on this" nominee.  The Wall  Street Journal put it this way: “I think the problem many liberals have is that they’re heading largely into the unknown with Kagan at a time when, with 59 senators and a tradition of following the president’s lead on matters of the Supreme Court, a more definitive choice could have been made,” writes David Dayen for the liberal blog FireDogLake. Glenn Greenwald at Salon takes a sharper tone against Kagan, casting her as a “blank slate, institution-loyal, seemingly principle-free careerist.” Paul Campos, who earlier [...]

Obama's First Pitch resembles Deficit and Political Leanings

President Obama follows many Presidential First Pitches.  I wonder if pitch analysis shows anything here.  Obama threw High and to the Left.  Seems like it resembles his Deficit spending and political leaning don't cha think? Watch the Video, High and to the left, high and to the left. Related: Prez Throws Like Girl, Not Koufax, Media Cheers Anyway Obama Can't name one White Sox player as favorite

Left says ratings for Sarah Palin Debut on Fox News were down 20%

Left says ratings for Sarah Palin Debut on Fox News were down 20%

Damn Lies and Statistics.  You would think that Palins program was down by twenty percent against CNN or maybe MSNBC but No! The Left didn't say. Real American Stories beat MSNBC, CNN, and HLN combined and had 2 Million views double that of  any of the other networks top rated programs in any time slot. They compared Palins program with On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.  Palin was indeed down 20% from last Thursdays OTL but if you look further all programs this week are down over last week.  But that is how the left rolls. Like the Time MSNBC said they were Number 1.  What they didn't tell you is they were Number 1 among toddlers from 2-5 years old.  It is the E-Trade crowd. While coming in first in its time period -- beating the Total Viewer average of the 10pm programs on [...]

Pelosi Calls Pilot that hit IRS Building a teabagger terrorist

Pelosi Calls Pilot that hit IRS Building a teabagger terrorist

Today Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi accused the pilot of the plane that smashed into the IRS building in Austin, Texas of being a teabagger terrorist. Okay, so that didn't really happen, but how long before the Left blames this nut job of being a tea party loyalist?  It actually happened at 12:09 central time at the Huffington Post: "I know Austin is liberal city. but I wonder if he was teabagger?" (posted by tisfilm 01:09 PM on 2/18/2010) I can imagine the speculation that Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann will be spewing on MSNBC tonight. I wonder if a tingle of fear will run up the back of Matthew's spine? No doubt the pilot was Caucasian, Protestant, clings to his Bible and guns, voted for Ron Paul, and is definitely a birther. The Left is becoming so predictable its [...]
