STATEMENT BY SENATORS JOHN McCAIN AND LINDSEY GRAHAM ON SYRIA June 13, 2013 Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) today released the following statement on Syria: “We appreciate the President’s finding that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons on several occasions. We also agree with the President that this fact must affect U.S. policy toward Syria. The President’s red line has been crossed. U.S. credibility is on the line. Now is not the time to merely take the next incremental step. Now is the time for more decisive actions. “The conflict in Syria has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. What the Hell is John McCain doing Meeting with Syrian Rebels?

What the Hell is John McCain doing Meeting with Syrian Rebels?

Arizona Senator John McCain is in Syria talking to the Rebels.  Doesn't this man "get it" that many of these Rebels are the same terrorists who fought against United States soldiers in many of our recent conflicts?  Warmongering is becoming very unpopular with many new Republicans and the Libertarian elements within the GOP.  Even so,   McCain has planted himself smack in the middle of the last several conflicts including Libya.   We see how well that has turned out. Sen. John McCain Monday became the highest-ranking U.S. official to enter Syria since the bloody civil war there began more than two years ago, The Daily Beast has learned. McCain, one of the fiercest critics of the Obama administration’s Syria policy, made the unannounced visit across the Turkey-Syria border with [...]

IRS employees gave overwhelmingly to Obama and Democrats

IRS employees gave overwhelmingly to Obama and Democrats President Barack Obama collected more than $110,000 from employees of the Internal Revenue Service during his 2008 and 2012 campaigns — significantly more money than any other contemporary political candidate, according to a Center for Public Integrity analysis of Federal Election Commission filings maintained by the Center for Responsive Politics. The donations were split roughly evenly between Obama's two presidential bids. Ahead of the 2012 election, IRS employees collectively gave Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney about $25,000 — less than half the amount received by Obama. For his part, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the GOP's presidential nominee in 2008, collected only about $6,000 from IRS [...]

McCain, Graham want Rand Paul to Calm Down

McCain, Graham want Rand Paul to Calm Down

Guess that Free Dinner last night at the White House paid off.  Seems McCain wants Rand Paul to Calm Down and understand that killing Americans without due process is good for America. Even most defense conservatives are getting tired of Trillions going over seas to fight endless wars.  Could someone please show these Congressman to the Door? Media Credit New York Daily News The anti-Rand Pauls, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, took to the Senate floor this morning to defend killing American citizens at presidential discretion. Graham is doing so live on C-SPAN2 right now, saying that everything you do is a danger to America no matter who or where you are, as long as the U.S. government has decided you have "joined al-Queda," whatever the [...]

MSNBC uses Highly Edited video to smear McCain on AWB

You know that Network that says Fox News uses highly edited video Liberal news outlets were quick to run an edited video of Senator John McCain (R., Ariz.) at a recent town hall meeting, alleging it shows the senator’s insensitivity towards a grieving mother who lost her son in the 2012 Aurora shooting. The edited video first appeared on Phoenix’s KTVK during a news package of the town hall meetings McCain has held during his most recent trip through Arizona. The video shows Caren Teves, whose son was killed when spree killer James Holmes attacked a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, asking the senator about assault weapons. “These weapons don’t belong on our streets,” she says. The video then cuts to McCain responding by saying, “I can tell you right now you [...]

PRESS BRIEFING BY PRESS SECRETARY JAY CARNEY James S. Brady Press Briefing Room   MR. CARNEY:  Thanks for bearing with us today.  A lot going on at the White House. McCain joins Foreign Relations Committee ahead of Sec State Hearings

The committee that will soon vet the next secretary of state will have a new Republican heavyweight next year: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), the man leading the charge against potential nominee U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice. McCain told The Cable he will join the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) and also remain on the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) in an interview on the sidelines of the 2012 IISS Manama Security Dialogue. McCain, who finishes his six-year term as ranking Republican on the SASC this year, will not challenge Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) for the leadership post on the SFRC, but his presence will be felt, especially during the confirmation hearings, which could be especially contentious this time around if Rice is chosen as the nominee. Those nomination hearings [...]

More Questions than Answers after Rice Grilling

After meeting with U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice on Tuesday, three GOP lawmakers said their concerns have only grown about misleading statements Rice made concerning the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead. Rice's meeting with Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte on Capitol Hill came as the White House signaled it may nominate Rice to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton as secretary of State. McCain, R-Ariz., has said he may oppose her nomination because she should have known her statements on the Sept. 11 attack were false. via GOP senators criticize Susan Rice after meeting. Obama Steamed over Rice Criticism

Obama Steamed over Rice Criticism

"But when they go after the U.N. Ambassador, apparently because they think she’s an easy target, then they’ve got a problem with me." President Barack Obama didn't appear riled up Wednesday by a sex scandal that claimed his CIA director. Or even the looming fiscal showdown that could plunge the economy into a recession. What annoyed Obama more than anything was Republican attacks on United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice. At a news conference meant to signal Obama understands voters are sick of Washington bickering, the president's voice dripped with contempt over efforts by his 2008 Republican rival, Sen. John McCain, to blame Rice for the administration's handling of the Benghazi killings. "If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go [...]
