Rupert Murdoch Tweets Support for Santorum

Rupert Murdoch Tweets Support for Santorum

Seems GOP candidate Rick Santorum has a new Mate, Rupert Murdoch!  Murdoch trying his thumbs at new media  Twitter tweeted, "Can't resist this tweet, but all Iowans think about Rick Santorum. Only candidate with genuine big vision for country."  Could that extra support translate to more votes in Iowa? His comments were significant not only because Mr. Murdoch controls Fox News Channel and The Wall Street Journal, but also because they were made on Twitter, a Web site that allowed for his support to be forwarded far and wide on the eve of the Iowa caucuses. Mr. Santorum was a paid analyst for Fox News before he announced his bid for the presidency last year. via Taking to Twitter, Murdoch Signals Support for Santorum - NYTimes.com.

“People’s Caucus” event in Des Moines marks beginning of week’s protests Fewer people than expected turned out Tuesday evening for the first event of Occupy Iowa’s most aggressive attempt to influence the presidential campaign, although organizers said that more people would show up and that those present would make their case boldly. At about 5 p.m. — two hours before the start of a “People’s Caucus” to discuss issues and make plans for demonstrations at campaign events — about 50 people milled around the group’s headquarters at 500 and 504 E. Locust St. in Des Moines. Organizers said between 30 and 40 people from outside Des Moines had checked in at the welcome center. By issuing invitations nationwide, local protesters who since October have been rallying [...]
