Why Michelle Obama was at the Oscars?

Why Michelle Obama was at the Oscars?

It was the average too-long, unfunny, over-produced Academy Awards TV show and then, after suffering through the 10-hour (well, it seemed like it) show, there was the first lady. In a ball gown. With military service personnel in dress uniform behind her. She declared of the Best Picture nominees, “They reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage within ourselves.” Alas, none of the films nor her aides reminded her to mention the military, not those personnel behind her nor those serving overseas, an odd omission for the White House that nevertheless was pleased to have them arrayed behind her like, well, set decoration. She did have time to give a crumb to the gay community, applauding the movies that inspire us [...]

White House complains GOP won’t adopt Democrats Sequester Solution

White House complains GOP won’t adopt Democrats Sequester Solution

White House Statement on Republican refusal to adopt Democrats Sequester Solution Statement by the Press Secretary Today, Senate Democrats offered a balanced plan to avoid across the board budget cuts that will hurt kids, seniors, and our men and women in uniform. The plan includes spending cuts that won’t harm middle class families while closing tax loopholes that benefit the wealthiest. Now, Republicans in Congress face a simple choice. Do they protect investments in education, health care and national defense or do they continue to prioritize and protect tax loopholes that benefit the very few at the expense of middle and working class Americans? The American people overwhelmingly support the approach Senate Democrats are taking, especially the “Buffett Rule.” They support it [...]

House To #RequireAPlan from Obama to Balance the Budget

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) announced that the House will consider the Require a PLAN Act, H.R. 444, next week. Sponsored by Vice Chairman of the Budget Committee Tom Price (R-GA) this bill will require the President to produce a balanced budget or submit a plan that indicates the earliest year he believes balance can be achieved and the policies he would implement to get there: “Next week, the House will consider the Require a PLAN Act to force President Obama to put forward his plan to balance the budget. For the fourth time in five years, the President is expected to miss the legal deadline for his annual budget proposal. Another signal he is not serious about solving our nation’s spending problem. That is unacceptable. Even the budget he [...]

Anyone remember Elaine who once  had sex with Jerry Seinfeld on the Show... when speaking about her multiple orgasms she supposedly had with him,  said... Fake, Fake, and Fake. Here is a Picture of Obama Skeet Shooting at Camp David... but guess what? It's as Fake as Elaine's Orgasms with Jerry Obama Skeet Shooting at Camp David President Obama recently told the New Republic magazine, "Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time." House Votes to Freeze Lawmakers Pay

House Votes to Freeze Lawmakers Pay

The House of Representatives is poised to vote as early as tonight on a bill addressing a series of tax increases and spending cuts taking affect this week. But first lawmakers voted on a plan to freeze the salaries of lawmakers and federal employees. Despite Democratic objections, the bill passed 287 to 129, with 55 Democrats voting with Republicans to approve the measure. House Democrats charged that the vote to freeze salaries was intended to provide political cover for conservative Republicans planning to vote against the fiscal cliff bill passed early Tuesday by the Senate. The fiscal cliff deal, passed with 89 votes in the Senate, includes language that would block a 0.5 percent cost of living pay increase for lawmakers, reversing parts of an executive order Obama issued [...]

House passed 2 bills on Fiscal Cliff, Senate won’t bring them to Vote

House passed 2 bills on Fiscal Cliff, Senate won’t bring them to Vote

I have had a number of emails asking me about what the House passed this year on the fiscal cliff and whether those bills were taken up by the Senate. That is an issue as both sides blame the other for not reaching a deal on the fiscal cliff, with Republicans in the House saying the Senate must act next, and Democrats in the Senate saying the House GOP must take charge. The House has passed two plans that would have a direct impact on the fiscal cliff already this year, one on taxes, one on the budget that deals with the automatic spending reductions set to start on January 2. On August 1, the House approved H.R. 8, a bill that would extend the Bush tax rates for all Americans for one more year; the vote was 256-171. That bill was sent to the Senate, where it was placed on the [...]

Video: House to Pass Bill that cuts taxes on 99.81% of Americans

WASHINGTON, DC – At a press conference today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) took the White House to task for failing to put forth a balanced approach to resolve the fiscal cliff, and urged the president to call on Senate Democrats to take action on the bill the House will pass tomorrow to protect millions of families and small businesses from the largest tax hike in American history. Following are Speaker Boehner’s remarks: “Republicans continue to work toward avoiding the fiscal cliff. “The president’s offer of $1.3 trillion in revenues and $850 billion in spending reductions fails to meet the test that the president promised the American people – a balanced approach. And I hope the president will get serious soon about providing and working with us on a balanced [...]
