But the committee said there is not enough evidence to conclude Haley violated ethics rules when she represented Lexington County in the House. via SC House Ethics panel clears Haley of charges regarding her time as lawmaker | The Republic.

Bev Perdue (D) is set to announce today that she will not seek reelection in 2012, according to multiple sources familiar with her plans. Perdue, who turned 65 earlier this month, was set for a rematch of her 2008 race with former Charlotte mayor Pat McCrory (R), but she has been plagued by low approval ratings and faced some tough odds this year. The Washington Post I’m not surprised by this. I just said the other day that she has consistently trailed McCrory in a rematch since about six months after taking office. via Perdue Calls it Quits | Carolina Politics Online.
