Politisite Political Projections: Michigan Primary Tuesday February 28, 2012

Politisite provides projections based on a Momentum modality similar to that used in projecting stock prices. Politisite does NOT endorse any candidate during the primary process. Further, we do not receive funding from any political campaign. Having said that, here are our projections for the Michigan Primary for Tuesday February 28, 2012  Mitt Romney – 36.5% (Tie) Rick Santorum – 36.5% (Tie) Ron Paul – 12% Newt Gingrich – 9.5% Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich have flat momentum,  Ron Paul has slight downward momentum.   We believe that Romney will eek out a victory here. The Numbers tell us that either Romney or Santorum could win.  Since we are dealing with a 4 percent margin of error, Either candidate could win by as much as 8 points.  We think that the winner [...]

Obama’s Infanticide History

Obama’s Infanticide History

This is a snapshot of Jill Stanek’s running post, following Newt Gingrich’s cheerful reminder to the Marxstream media about The One they religiously protect and his bloodthirsty record in Illinois. To say she is a hands-on expert in this matter is a grim understatement. We encourage you to find the rest at JillStanek.com, to learn how it all went down in Obama’s adopted state, and to inform or remind others – even 5th column journalists.   Obama’s support of infanticide takes center stage in Republican presidential debate   2/24, 6:40a: Conservatives are ripping Politico’s Alexander Burns for incorrectly identifying the object of Newt Gingrich’s criticism as Barack Obama’s opposition to a partial birth abortion ban rather than the Born Alive [...]

CNN Arizona GOP Debate – The Issues

CNN Arizona GOP Debate – The Issues

The CNN GOP Presidential debate  will take place from the Mesa Performing Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona tonight.  The debate will be broadcast by CNN at 8pm ET.   All four remaining candidates will be on  the stage.  Rick Santorum has recently emerged as the front runner in national polls and is in a tight race with Mitt Romney in Michigan and Arizona.  Those primaries will take place on February 28th. For the past few weeks GOP candidates have been beating each other up, with many wondering if this will play into the hands of the Obama campaign.  While the economy should be the major issue to be discussed, the Obama campaign has been successful into steering the national conversation to social issues.   To this end Rick Santorum has provided plenty of talking points for [...]

Gingrich: Michigan is do-or-die for Romney

Gingrich: Michigan is do-or-die for Romney

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich hinted Sunday that if rival Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney loses the primary election in his home state of Michigan, he should drop out of the race. “If he loses his home state, I don’t see what he says the next morning to his donors to stay in the race,” Mr. Gingrich told “Fox News Sunday.” If Mr. Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, can’t win his home state in a primary election, how can he beat President Obama in Michigan, which typically votes with the Democrats, Mr. Gingrich asked. “For a general election, that’s not a very good sign,” he said. Mr. Gingrich pushed the stakes higher, indicating he also needs to win his home state of Georgia in the primary election. via Gingrich: Michigan is [...]

Gingrich to challenge Florida’s “winner take all” rule, demand proportional award of delegates

Gingrich to challenge Florida’s “winner take all” rule, demand proportional award of delegates

He’s got a case, I think. Simple rule: Every state that goes before April 1 is required to award its delegates proportionally. Florida was supposed to go after that date but moved up its primary in defiance of the RNC’s wishes. They were penalized by having half of their 99 delegates taken away — but for some reason, their “winner take all” rule was allowed to remain in effect despite the date change. So Romney ended up with 50 delegates last night while Gingrich got squat. But maybe not for long: The Newt Gingrich campaign is gearing up to challenge the results of the Florida Republican presidential primary based on the Republican National Committee’s own rules which state that no contest can be winner-take-all prior to April 1, 2012… via Gingrich to challenge [...]

Exit Polls 2012 Florida Primary

Exit Polls 2012 Florida Primary

exit polls from Florida 2012 Florida primary exit polls: 2/3rds say debates mattered Two in three Florida primary voters say the presidential debates were an important factor in their vote, according to early CBS News exit polls. That's a positive sign for Mitt Romney, who was widely seen as besting rival Newt Gingrich in the two Sunshine State debates over the past week. For evidence of the importance of the debates, look no further than South Carolina, where nearly the same percentage of voters said the debates were important in early exit polls. Gingrich was widely seen as the victor in the two debates there, and he went on to a double-digit victory. The exit poll results being discussed here are early results; full exit poll results will be released at 8:00 p.m. Eastern [...]
