Recordings: Mother of Boston bombers talked jihad with Son
Russia Caught Bombing Suspect on Wiretap Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call. In another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case, officials said. The conversations are significant because, had they been revealed earlier, they might have been enough evidence for the FBI to initiate a more thorough investigation of the Tsarnaev family. As it was, Russian authorities told the FBI only that they had concerns that Tamerlan [...]
CIA had Boston Bomber on Terror Watch List
The CIA pushed to have one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers placed on a U.S. counterterrorism watch list more than a year before the attacks, U.S. officials said Wednesday. Russian authorities contacted the CIA in the fall of 2011 and raised concerns that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed last week in a confrontation with police, was seen as an increasingly radical Islamist who could be planning to travel overseas. The CIA request led the National Counterterrorism Center to add Tsarnaev’s name to a database known as the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, or TIDE, that is used to feed information to other lists, including the FBI’s main terrorist screening database. Boston bombing suspect interviewed by Obama’s FBI and Cleared in 2011
On April 19, the FBI revealed that its investigators interviewed deceased terrorist and Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 for possible ties to extremist groups, yet released him after they failed to uncover any direct evidence to bring official charges, according to CBS News. The formal in-person interview of Tamerlan Tsarnaev was initially denied by FBI, according to CBS News, which further complicates the controversy for President Barack Obama’s Justice Department as revelations from the terrorist’s mother contradicted the earlier official denial. The FBI interview was conducted after being requested by an unspecified foreign government, according to the U.K. Daily Mail. A report on the Russia Today website contained portions of an interview with the dead [...]

Reddit Readers Think they Can Solve the Boston Bombings
Is this modernized Witch Hunt, Vigilante justice or crowd sourcing? Acknowledging that “the range of suspects and motives remains wide open,” the FBI on Tuesday appealed to the public for help in solving the Boston Marathon bombing. Users of the social-news site Reddit are, in their own way, doing exactly what authorities asked. On a subreddit called findbostonbombers, a group of amateur sleuths is sharing theories and passing around publicly available crowd shots. At this stage, Redditors have latched on to images of two different middle-aged men in the marathon crowd, each of whom appears to be holding a backpack with stripes on the straps. Why are those stripes relevant? They think the markings look similar to those in an FBI picture of a destroyed backpack found at the [...]
Ricin Letters signed: “I am KC and I approve this message”
The FBI has announced that an envelope addressed to the White House has tested positive for ricin, and has been quarantined by US Secret Service personnel. A coordinated investigation has since been initiated by the FBI. Although the letter initially tested positive for the deadly poison, official test results will be available in 24 to 48 hours. According to a law enforcement official, preliminary tests are "unreliable" and often result in false positives. In an intelligence bulletin obtained by AP, the FBI says that both letters say: "To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance." Both are signed, "I am KC and I approve this message." Read More
Who is Our Next Contestant?
All right, folks, let the blame game begin! Who is our next contestant? Let's see, the Saudi immigrant story is not juicy enough, besides, we don't want to take a shot at anyone Islamic, right? Perhaps, instead of a News Network stooge, we could hire someone akin to Rod Roddy (the late "Price is Right" Announcer) to bring us our next contestant. We will have Anderson Cooper, right after he eliminates another right wing nut, ask the show's host, "who is my next contestant?" "OSAMA BIJANGOODRITRI!! COME ONNNNNN DOOOWWWWN." It is time to think about who hates America. Sadly, the world is full of potential suspects, and you are going to meet and forget many as the investigation takes off. But, who will be the winner? Do we really have confidence in the FBI nabbing this [...]
