Gloria Allred Holds Press Conference with Another Cain Accuser

Gloria Allred held a press conference at 1:30 pm ET in New York City, with a fourth woman, Sharon Bialek, a Chicago woman alleging harassment by Herman Cain.  This, according to Allred, is a new accuser and not of the one previous women that have accused Herman Cain of sexual assault.  The woman appeared with with Gloria Alfred at the news conference.   Gloria Allred is a well known supporter of the Democratic Party, a feminist and has been involved in several high profile controversial cases in the past. The allegations against Herman Cain started shortly after he achieved front runner status in the field of GOP hopefuls.   Politico published a story, which referred to anonymous sources.  Although the National Restaurant Association (NRA) has offered to waive the confidentiality [...]

Excerpts of President Obama's American Jobs Act Speech

The following are excerpts of President Obama's Job Speech dubbed the American Jobs Act The people of this country work hard to meet their responsibilities.  The question tonight is whether we’ll meet ours.  The question is whether, in the face of an ongoing national crisis, we can stop the political circus and actually do something to help the economy; whether we can restore some of the fairness and security that has defined this nation since our beginning.   Those of us here tonight cannot solve all of our nation’s woes.  Ultimately, our recovery will be driven not by Washington, but by our businesses and our workers.  But we can help.  We can make a difference.   There are steps we can take right now to improve people’s lives.   I am sending this Congress a [...]

OBAMANOMICS: Unemployment Rate increased to 9.2%

OBAMANOMICS: Unemployment Rate increased to 9.2%

President Obama found a way to blame everyone else except his own economic policy.  Obama says that Business don't want to add jobs because Republicans have delayed raising the debt ceiling.  Keep in mind that just a couple of weeks ago Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schwartz said Democrats own the Economy. Welcome to the failed economic policies of Barack Obama … the US added 18,000 jobs in June 2011. The unemployment rate for June 2011 went up .01% to 9.2%. OUCH!!! Take a look at the dismal unemployment numbers from the DOL. The unemployment rate is headed in the wrong direction and President Obama and Democrats talk about tax increases. Really? Nonfarm payroll employment was essentially unchanged in June (+18,000), and the unemployment rate was little [...]

Twitter Town Hall: Obama Touts Federal Worker Pay Freeze That Isn’t

Twitter Town Hall: Obama Touts Federal Worker Pay Freeze That Isn’t

Even though Federal pay continues to rise even though Obama says he froze pay.  He can take credit for Freezing Disabled Federal Employee pay and Disabled Veterans benefits.  Those he did actually freeze.  The Obama administration said he froze Cost of Living increases because the cost of living hasn't gone up. He can also take credit for freezing social security while Democrats points fingers at Republicans for wanting to throw grandma off the cliff. This should show how out of touch Obama is with the real world.  No one on disability is paying the same or less than two years ago. President Obama offered few concrete proposals for promoting fiscal responsibility during his “Twitter town hall” on Wednesday. One that he did mention was his drive to freeze federal employee [...]

State employees should have the same collective bargaining rights as Federal employees

State employees should have the same collective bargaining rights as Federal employees

We think state employees should have the same collective bargaining rights as Federal employees. They have none for Wages or Benefits. In 1978, Democratic President Jimmy Carter, backed by a Democratic Congress, passed the Civil Service Reform Act. Why should state employees have more rights than Federal Workers? It is called Civil "Service" after all! Public-Employee Unions: Facts, Figures, Some History hile less than 8 percent of private workers are covered by union contracts, union penetration in the public sector is 40 percent (and about 50 percent in Wisconsin). Government employees are now more than half of all remaining union members, and government unions increasingly dominate what is left of the organized labor movement–along with the politics of states that have [...]
