It's not just unemployment it's employers going out of business in the US. By Doc Vega As Democrats rejoice over reported unemployment reduction from 7.9% to 7.7% saying that this is a reflection of President Obama’s economic policies, we need to more closely examine reality concerning the true unemployment picture. Little did the US mass media bother to inform the public that 130,000 persons dropped off the employment rolls. Neither did the news networks bother to give equal coverage to J C Penney’s lay-off of 2,200 workers. Of the available working force that does hold down a job, the number of people holding more than one job climbed considerably, as a matter of fact, the highest percentage of people holding more than one job than any time in history. Today's dismal Job growth and unemployment rate figures show that the Obama economy is hurting those more who he campaigned for the most.  The President continues to say that the policies of the past don't work, But the Obama policies are clear - Minorities were better off Under Bush. So their employees could get a pay check! Tell that to small business owners; a new survey by Citigroup shows that 23% of small business owners have gone more than a year without pay. The study also says that 54% of them have gone without at least one paycheck; 38% of them said their employees had worked overtime without being compensated; and 18% of them had been unable to make a paycheck for their employees at least once. During recent years, 78% of the owners have taken less profit, 70% have been working more hours, and 69% have used their own funds in order to keep their businesses afloat. via 23% of Small Business Owners Went A Year Without Pay.

We Can’t Wait: The White House Announces Federal and Private Sector Commitments to Provide Employment Opportunities for Nearly 180,000 Youth

From the White House Press Office: Today, the White House announced Summer Jobs+, a new call to action for businesses, non-profits, and government to work together to provide pathways to employment for low-income and disconnected youth in the summer of 2012. The President proposed $1.5 billion for high-impact summer jobs and year-round employment for low-income youth ages 16-24 in the American Jobs Act as part of the Pathways Back to Work fund. When Congress failed to act, the Federal government and private sector came together to commit to creating nearly 180,000 employment opportunities for low-income youth in the summer of 2012, with a goal of reaching 250,000 employment opportunities by the start of summer, at least 100,000 of which will be placements in paid jobs and internships.
