I don’t have to pay a mortgage anymore thanks to Obama
Now I pay Rent! Recall the euphoria that surrounded Barack Obama during the 2008 election season and after he was inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States. Life was going to be blue skies and rainbows, or at least we were told, with hope and change on the way. The American people would be better off and so would our nation with Obama in control. After a little more than two years as the President, those blue skies have turned gray with not the slightest hint of a rainbow. Some professed that with Barack Obama as President, the staples of life would become affordable if not altogether free. Surely you remember Peggy Joseph who said, at a Barack Obama campaign event in August 2008, that she would not have to worry about paying for her gas [...]
Feds: No new drilling permits
Oil prices have been on the rise recently, with supply worries from the unrest in the Middle East pushing prices past $106 a barrel this morning, the highest in two years. Americans are feeling the sting of an average $3.50 a gallon price at the pump, with prices as high as $5 a gallon in some areas such as L.A. The Obama administration has issued contradictory statements on the high oil prices. On Friday the Obama administration appealed a judge's ruling that the Department of Interior stop holding up the application process of several deepwater drilling permits. The move effectively continues the de facto ban on deepwater drilling in the Gulf. On Sunday however, White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley said the Obama administration is considering tapping into the U.S. [...]
Federal judge Gives Salazar 30 days to act on drilling permits
Federal District Judge Martin Feldman today gave President Obama and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar 30 days to act on five applications seeking permits to drill in the Gulf of Mexico submitted months ago by a Louisiana firm. In issuing the directive to the government, Feldman, who sits on the District Court for the Eastern District of Louisian, noted that “it is undisputed that before the Deepwater Horizon disaster, permits were processed, on average, in two weeks’ time. In stark contrast, the five permits at issue have been pending from four to some nine months.” The permits were sought by Ensco Offshore, which is based in Broussard, LA. Virtually no new drilling has occurred in the Gulf since the Deepwater Horizon disaster, despite the fact the U.S. [...]
Video: Soros invested in Petrobras days before Obama invested Billions, Special Prosecutor Needed?
The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil’s planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan. Apparently, Barack Obama’s pal George Soros has invested heavily in Petrobas. Doug Strait sent this: I read a lot of news and remembered that a while back George Soros had invested in an Brazilian oil company. So, I searched for “Petrobras Soros” and found a couple articles. Here is one that I found. These are the top 5 holdings of George Soros 1.Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.Petrobras (PBR) – 9,818,323 [...]
