Biden: Legions of Minorities won’t vote without Obama on ticket

Biden: Legions of Minorities won’t vote without Obama on ticket

White House Pool Reporter Matt Viser from the Boston Globe filed this report from the Markey for Senate fundraiser. Full report is posted here (Pool report below quotes extensively from Biden and Gore, who both spoke during a fundraiser for Ed Markey; there’s some newsy things here, with Biden being critical of the Republican Party; saying the Massachusetts special election might be hard to get “legions of African Americans and Latinos” out because Obama’s not on top of ticket; talking frustrations on gun control; remarking on Gore’s loss of the 2000 election. Meanwhile, Gore reminisces about starting in the House with Markey and running against Biden for president in 1988. Excuse the lengthy quotes; no transcript is going out so pooler wanted to make sure all had as much [...]

Is MSM ignoring Race Violence in Virginia Beach?

Is MSM ignoring Race Violence in Virginia Beach?

Is MSM ignoring Race Violence in Virginia Beach?  Is it because they fear being called racist in this politically correct world? Reporters at all the local media in Virginia Beach had trouble describing what happened over the weekend when 40,000 black people descended on their town for a party. Their audiences, however, did not. Daniel Johnson was one of dozens of people who had no trouble describing the lawbreakers and the chaos, danger, thefts, violence and lawlessness they brought to Virginia Beach as part of College Beach Week 2013. A time when black students could “blow off some steam” before final exams. The readers and viewers offered eyewitness accounts that local media could not, or would not, present. “Because it was a group of young black college people everyone is [...]

Obama the President for everyone except Black people

Obama the President for everyone except Black people

Obama the President for everyone except Black people by  Kevin Johnson As President Barack Obama begins his second term, there is something noticeably different about his new cabinet - the absence of African-American leaders and advisors. The Congressional Black Caucus chair, Rep. Marcia Fudge of Ohio recently sent the president a letter stating, “You have publicly expressed your commitment to retaining diversity within your cabinet. However, the people you have chosen to appoint in this new term have hardly been reflective of this country’s diversity.” When one compares President Obama to his predecessors, the decrease in African-American appointments is astounding. In American presidential history, President William Jefferson Clinton has been, by far, the most [...]

Black conservatives discuss how the NRA protected freed slaves – Video

Dismayed by the lack of marksmanship shown by their troops, Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen. George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871. The primary goal of the association would be to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis," according to a magazine editorial written by Church. After being granted a charter by the state of New York on November 17, 1871, the NRA was founded. Civil War Gen. Ambrose Burnside, who was also the former governor of Rhode Island and a U.S. Senator, became the fledgling NRA's first president. via A Brief History of NRA. As new chapters where formed, some helped teach Black Americans how to protect themselves from hate groups like the KKK.  Democrats have been gun control advocates in some form.  In [...]

Race Baiting MSNBC Touré: If Newtown was a Black School, No one would care

Race Baiting MSNBC Touré: If Newtown was a Black School, No one would care

On Friday, MSNBC host Touré took on what he said was a distinctly racial opinion piece in The Daily Caller by National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre. In that post, the gun rights advocate defended gun ownership by saying that guns are American's only defense in a lawless, post-disaster environment. Touré said that the racial overtones in LaPierre's post were evident and added that, had Newtown shooter Adam Lanza committed his atrocity in a predominately black school, there would be no "national conversation" about gun violence. via Touré: If Adam Lanza Shot Up A Black School, There Would Be No 'National Conversation About Guns' - YouTube. Touré Accuses All of America of Racism, Wouldn't Care if Newtown Was A Black School On Friday, MSNBC "Cycle" cohost Touré said [...]

Does Obama have your Back? Black unemployment 14.4%, Hispanic and Latino 11.0%

Does Obama have your Back? Black unemployment 14.4%, Hispanic and Latino 11.0%

Today's dismal Job growth and unemployment rate figures show that the Obama economy is hurting those more who he campaigned for the most.  The President continues to say that the policies of the past don't work, But the Obama policies are clear - Minorities were better off Under Bush. "The slow pace of jobs growth underscores the weakening economic growth momentum and reinforces the perception that the economy has remain mired in another soft patch," Millan says. "With the labor market recovery appearing to be stalled, the case for further policy accommodation will likely be strengthened, particularly given the benign inflationary background." The report comes in sharp contrast to private payrolls data out of ADP just a day earlier that showed the economy expanded by 179,000 [...]

Star Parker: Booker Exposes Obama’s Misguided Message

Star Parker: Booker Exposes Obama’s Misguided Message

By Star Parker Decades ago, Winston Churchill observed that "the inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." His words apply well to the choice in the 2012 presidential election. Note, for example, how the young black Democratic mayor of Newark, N.J., Cory Booker, was strongly repudiated by the Obama campaign, including the president himself, when he insolently suggested that Bain Capital, the investment firm once headed by Mitt Romney, might actually do positive things. Booker, an Obama campaign surrogate, went off script on "Meet the Press" when he refused to justify a campaign attack ad depicting the evils of Bain. "I'm not about to sit here and indict private equity. ... Especially that I [...]

Democrats to play race card during election to get American’s off economic issues

Democrats to play race card during election to get American’s off economic issues

The Problem?  Minorities and Woman are worse off now.  Any conversation on race will lead to, "are minorities better off".  Not a good strategy for the divide and conquer crowd. Members of the House Democratic Caucus and their staff received training last week on how to inject the issue of race into nearly any political argument that takes place during the 2012 election season. Maya Wiley, a former adviser for George Soros' Open Society Institute and the founder of the Center for Social Inclusion, was invited to address the caucus on the issue of "race and fiscal policy." The training materials from the session, obtained by The Washington Examiner's Joel Gehrke, outline tactics for insinuating that even plain-sounding talk of budget cuts and limited government is motivated by [...]
