Huckabee Wants to Watch Field Unfold Before Endorsing

Huckabee Wants to Watch Field Unfold Before Endorsing

Another very good move:   Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he wasn’t prepared to endorse any of his fellow Republicans in the 2012 presidential race on Sunday, a day after he announced on his Fox News show that he would not seek the GOP nomination.  “Frankly, my feelings and my whole emotions are still a little raw from the process, because up until just a few days ago, Chris, I honestly thought I would be in it,” the 2008 presidential candidate told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “And more and more, the signs were pointing that way, the objections were moved out of the way, and I could see a pathway to getting the money that I never thought perhaps I could. And, you know, things began to unfold. “But it was almost as if the more that all [...]

It is Official Huckabee is NOT running for President

It is Official Huckabee is  not running for President. Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com Huckabee Opts Against 2012 White House Bid "The past few months have been times of deep personal reflection," Huckabee said. "Even though I wasn't actively establishing a campaign organization or seeking financial support to run again, polls have consistently put me at or near the top to be the Republican nominee." "But I know that under the best of circumstances, being President is a job that takes one to the limit of his or her human capacity," he continued. "I can't know or predict the future, but I know for now my answer is clear and firm:  I will not seek the Republican nomination for President this year." Huckabee said others probably thought about a presidential bid more [...]

Source: The Huck Stops Here – Huckabee will pass on Election

We noticed that the South Carolina operatives have not been gearing up.  We thought that with Fox News suspensions of other potential candidates that Huckabee was playing his cards close to his chest.  But now that it is thirty days from his suggested announcement time and his mentioning a new education program we get the drift that Saturdays announcement is to say he will pass on 2012 presidential run.  We also have a source close to the 2008 campaign that indicates we are correct in our assumptions. There is a rumor, a small one, that Huckabee had to make a decision now due to him taking over 5 p.m time slot being vacated by Glenn Beck.  We think Huckabee was considered but in the end, we think he likes the freedom of a weekend show and living in Florida part time.  We [...]

At Least 251 Dead in Storms Across South, 162 in Alabama Alone

At Least 251 Dead in Storms Across South A deadly tornado stretching a mile wide tore through downtown Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Wednesday evening, destroying homes and buildings and bringing further damage to a region already battered by storms. Across the state, at least 162 people were killed by storms on Wednesday alone, said Valerie Hayes, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency. But that number did not include any deaths from Tuscaloosa, where 15 people were confirmed dead by the mayor's office and 100 were said to be injured, The Tuscaloosa News reported. Earlier in the day, with the damage spreading and the death toll rising, Gov. Robert Bentley declared a state of emergency. And The Associated Press reported that across the South, storms Wednesday killed 11 people [...]

Gov Mike Huckabee says he’s NOT NOT Running for President

Gov Mike Huckabee NOT Running for President South Carolina staffers reportedly told to seek another candidate If you heard that,  its all rumor as Huckabee says he will not make a decision until summer that means after June 21st Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee allegedly told his South Carolina consultants that he wasn’t going to run for president in 2012 … or at least that’s what a Palmetto Republican blogger reported on Wednesday. Of course what could have erupted into a national news story may very well turn out to be the first example of South Carolina’s notoriously dirty political process. The drama began when the website Process Story ran a banner headline Wednesday afternoon boldly declaring that “Huckabee won’t run.” If true, this would have obviously [...]
