Special interest groups trying to oust Sheriff Arpaio
A dedicated Sheriff and widely supported authority comes under fire from the left trying to dislodge lawful enforcement in Arizona! By Doc Vega Most of us know of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his valiant battle for the law not only in Maricopa County, but to head the privately funded investigation into President Obama’s flagrant identity fraud in order to hold the office of the presidency. Recently, “Sheriff Joe” as he is affectionately known by residents in his county, and throughout Arizona, has just recently been re-elected for a sixth term. This would seem to indicate a majority of voters who are quite happy with his performance as a lawman and trusted authority. When the radical agenda comes calling However, not so for an organization of radicals who call themselves [...]
Mayor Bloomberg Plans $12 Million Ad Blitz on Gun Control
Mayor Bloomberg Plans $12 Million Ad Blitz on Gun Control - Begins in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Arizona Determined to persuade Congress to act in response to the shooting in Newtown, Conn., Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg on Monday will begin bankrolling a $12 million national advertising campaign that focuses on senators who he believes might be persuaded to support a pending package of federal regulations to curb gun violence. The ads, in a dozen states, will blanket those senators’ districts during an Easter Congressional recess that is to be followed by debate over the legislation. But in a telling sign of how much the white-hot demands for gun control have been tempered by political reality, the commercials make no mention of an assault weapons ban once sought by the [...]

DHS releases hundreds of illegals but are 10% under Budget
DHS releases hundreds of illegal immigrants ahead of Sequestration but are 10% under Budget The Department of Homeland Security has started releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants held in local jails in anticipation of automatic budget cuts, in a move one Arizona sheriff called politically motivated -- and dangerous. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Tuesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released more than 500 detainees in his county alone over the weekend. A spokesman for Babeu told FoxNews.com that ICE officials have said they plan to release a total of nearly 10,000 illegal immigrants. The numbers, though, are in dispute. ICE officials said that it's unclear how many ultimately might be released and that only 303 have been released from four Arizona facilities [...]

Big Sis at Homeland Security we won’t help Arizona police – Who cares about Supreme Court
The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police. Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport. “We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing. The official said that [...]
President Obama statement on the Supreme Court’s Ruling on Arizona v. the United States
Statement by the President on the Supreme Court’s Ruling on Arizona v. the United States I am pleased that the Supreme Court has struck down key provisions of Arizona's immigration law. What this decision makes unmistakably clear is that Congress must act on comprehensive immigration reform. A patchwork of state laws is not a solution to our broken immigration system – it’s part of the problem. At the same time, I remain concerned about the practical impact of the remaining provision of the Arizona law that requires local law enforcement officials to check the immigration status of anyone they even suspect to be here illegally. I agree with the Court that individuals cannot be detained solely to verify their immigration status. No American should ever live under a [...]
