Let the Gosnell verdict be a warning to others
The Philadelphia doctor accused of performing illegal, late-term abortions in his filthy clinic has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of three babies. Dr. Kermit Gosnell was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of one of his patients, but acquitted in the charge of murder in the death of a fourth baby. While the defense had argued there were no live births at the clinic, prosecutors say 72-year-old Gosnell delivered the living babies before having their spines severed with scissors to kill them. They say the baby whose death he was cleared in let out a soft whimper before Gosnell cut its neck, according to the Associated Press. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Boston Bomber: Islamic Jihad but acted Alone
Boston bombings suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev conveyed to investigators that no international terrorist groups were behind the attacks, a U.S. government source told CNN's Jake Tapper. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev indicated his older brother, Tamerlan, was the driving force behind the attacks and wanted to defend Islam from attack, the source said. The 19-year-old was "alert, mentally competent and lucid," U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler found during a brief initial court appearance in Tsarnaev's hospital room. America Cowering to Boston Bombers
In the wake of the identity of the Boston bombers, I have become absolutely sickened how my country has refused to face the simple facts of this horrendous situation. From news networks to every day individuals; it has become apparent to me that an obscene amount of Americans are more scared of insulting a religion than of terrorism itself! Incidents such as these should be treated as cut and dry when it comes to the facts of the case. Fact is these brothers were from Chechnya (a predominantly Muslim country faith wise) and they themselves practiced the faith of Islam and had expressed dislike for Americans in the past.
