Obama’s DOJ Tracks Reporters Movements, Obtains Personal Emails; Journalists Unite Against DOJ

Obama’s DOJ Tracks Reporters Movements, Obtains Personal Emails; Journalists Unite Against DOJ

By Susan Duclos Journalists that took exception to the Department of Justice's unprecedented seizure of the Associated Press phone records are even more outraged as information is revealed about the Obama administration's other constitutional violations, including tracking reporters' movements and obtaining a Fox News reporter's personal emails. The case of Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, the government adviser, and James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News, bears striking similarities to a sweeping leaks investigation disclosed last week in which federal investigators obtained records over two months of more than 20 telephone lines assigned to the Associated Press. At a time when President Obama’s administration is under renewed scrutiny for an unprecedented number of [...]

Lets just say, “the Left ain’t Happy” – Obama’s forgotten agenda

Lets just say, “the Left ain’t Happy” – Obama’s forgotten agenda

The Left is upset that Obama has proposed cuts (reductions in growth) to Social Security in his new budget but are more upset that the POTUS has once again dropped most of the urgent agenda items proposed in his State of the Union Address like Global Warning. We on the right side of the issues could have told you that Obama is not a promise keeper unless it is to his advantage to do so.  We are happy with a left-wing president who doesn't want to use his political capital to push the environmentalist agenda. Sorry folks, we could have told you so He talked about urgent action on minimum wage and climate at the start of this term. A few months later: Nada Two months ago this week, an emboldened President Obama laid out an ambitious agenda for a second term in his State of the [...]

A New Cold War

A New Cold War

Rhetoric on the Korean Peninsula, now as tense as it was during the Korean War, brings the world pondering the question: Are we in the new Cold War? Not only is North Korea in the middle of producing a nuclear weapon, but Iran is also in production of a nuclear weapon. There has not been military action from America or its allies, but there have been militia shows of strength on both sides. North Korea has moved missiles to its coastlines. America has flown fighter jets over South Korea. More than that there has been rhetoric so harsh from both North Korea and Iran, that I believe the world has forgotten how to deal with stalemate, non active combat wars. One cannot deny the intense similarities of the Cold War with Russia and the tensions and the nuclear arms race of present day Iran [...]

Americas Moral Downfall

Americas Moral Downfall

By Amanda Hill I will point out the obvious; I love keeping up to date on politics and social issues in this country. To my surprise though, I have become increasingly sickened and exhausted when watching or reading any type of news, no matter the network or source. It seems that the last six months or so have been a constant collection of leftist acts of moral lows and American firsts. All this has me posing the question of, "When will Americans stand firm and say enough is enough of the immorality of our society?" Or in fact, will that ever happen? Is it too late? The last presidential election was hope-killing enough since hundreds of thousands of Americans whose self and family suffered during the recession, are again forced to face more lingering questions of stability for [...]

Israel Visit a Bust for Obama

Israel Visit a Bust for Obama

By Amanda Hill After over four years in office, President Obama has conducted his first state visit to Israel, meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Since it was the Presidents first visit to Americas ally, media coverage was extensive and opinionated. U.S. President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  REUTERS/Nir Elias As an American citizen that is not only concerned about the freedom of my country but the freedom of the free world; Obama’s visit seemed extremely useless and fruitless. Of course seeing as the President has never visited Israel prior, and has only hosted the Israeli Prime Minister to Washington once, it seems the President was un-reluctantly pressured into visiting Israel because of the escalating situation in Iran, [...]

Obama gets no Love from Israeli poll

Obama gets no Love from Israeli poll

Israeli poll shows Obama Least Loved of U.S. Presidents But Obama wants to change all of that.  He plans to speak directly to the Israeli people to change their minds about him.  Obama will use that charm that has helped him so well in United States politics to get his addenda passed. This from the Israeli daily Maariv On the Eve of United States President Barack Obama's visit to Israel,  its appears that most Israelis believe that he is hostile or indifferent to their country.  Further most Israelis have and negative attitude toward Obama, according to a survey from Maagar and Ma'ariv. 38% of respondents said Obama reveals hostility toward Israel, 14% believe says he is indifferent attitude. conversely, a third of all respondents believe that Obama supports the Israeli [...]

Obama’s License to Kill, “For God’s Sake, Where are the Democrats?”

Obama’s License to Kill, “For God’s Sake, Where are the Democrats?”

"For God's Sake, Where are the Democrats?" That was what John Cusack tweeted about a week ago in response to Rand Paul's filibuster on the Senate floor questioning a President's 'License to kill.' To his credit, he was arguing against the Obama Administration's refusal to deny that A President has the power to kill American Citizens on American soil without a trial, simply because he 'thinks' they may be 'A threat to National security.' I am appreciative for Mr. Cusack's criticism of the Attorney General, and by proxy, the President, for such a chilling hesitation, a hesitation that took a week to overcome, by the way. It is shocking that a sitting President would flirt with despotism . . . no, 'despotism' is the wrong word. Rather, 'Divine' is more apropos to describe what the [...]

Who’s “courageous”?

Who’s “courageous”?

By Laura Lorenzo There was a story in Salon, written by Joan Walsh, about how Laura Bush and Dick Cheney aren’t really “courageous” for coming out in favor of same-sex marriage. First of all, I don’t know who’s demanding that they be dubbed “courageous”, but leave that aside. I once read that George Wallace didn't really believe in the stuff that he was saying or doing, he just did it to get elected. I don't know if that's true, but if anything, it makes it seem worse. It's one thing to be wrong in a sincerely held belief, no matter the degree of heinousness. It seems like a whole other thing to know it's wrong, but to do it for political reasons. People can disagree on these issues, and have their reasons for doing so. You'd like to think that, at the very least, [...]
