Our Evolver in Chief

The President said from the White House that we will go after ISIS and get rid of that “cancer,” appearing as though he were giving us an update on the new Affordable Care Act contact number.

According to Stanley Kurtz, senior fellow Ethics and Public Policy Center and author of Radical in Chief, an account of Barack Obama’s true socialist ideals, said that Obama is a, “Marxist/Lenninist who looked forward to revolution.”

So what? If he is indeed, a socialist as Kurtz says, what has that to do with going after ISIS?

Well, here’s the problem. For a world leader, one’s ideas – and ideals – forms and shapes one’s worldview, and one’s worldview influences one’s policies.

Say a leader is a vegan/PETA supporter. If so, then he might not be as business-driven when making policy regarding the USDA. You can imagine such an animal lover nudging egg producers and beef suppliers into a more restrictive and limited position, just as a seasoned hunter and game angler would tend toward more lax policies. It’s human nature.

What has that to do with ISIS?

Well, when one believes in his very core that a centralized management philosophy is the best for a society, then one would, at the very least, lean in a oligarchical direction. And when we look at socialism, we see centralization. When we look at Marxism, we see centralization. No less a model, when we look at ISIS, we also see centralization. Albeit, a more dramatic centralization, to be sure, but now we’re talking mere quantitative rather than qualitative differences.

Where ISIS would behead someone for homosexuality, the socialist would jail that same someone for speaking against gays. In both cases, a, “hate crime” has been committed and duly punished by the state.

In 2009, Obama signed into law legislation that respected a Federal penalty if an assault is due to the perpetrator’s ‘views’ of the person’s sexual orientation.

In other words, if I hit someone in the eye then one penalty ensues. If, on the other hand, I hit someone in the eye and I did it because I disapproved of their lifestyle, then there is not only the original offense, but also a Federal one as well.

So what such advocates are saying, Obama among them, is that the state will divine the ‘feelings’ of the offender toward his victim and add to his penalty upon such divination. How is this different from how ISIS handles their ‘federal’ offenses? Is not ISIS ‘divining’ that a personal attitude toward an ideal, Islam, is offensive and worthy of punishment? Is not our law now ‘divining’ that a personal attitude toward an ideal, homosexuality, is offensive and worthy of punishment?

Point being, if the Obama administration is in line with the concept of the State lawfully determining and controling ‘thought’ and the person wherein the ‘thought’ originates, how then can it be wholeheartedly and vehemently opposed to ISIS, which has the same philosophy?

Sure, Obama may be opposed to lopping heads off for the wrong way of thinking, but he is apparently not opposed to imprisoning them for it.

In world war II our leaders declared Nazism to be evil with a marked enthusiasm that rose to the level of exhilaration. Obama gives his declaration of ISIS to be evil with all the vigor of an insurance seminar. In fact, toward the end of his White House address, when he spoke of the characteristic American ideals he sounded less like a President defending freedom and more like senator Geary in front of the senate committee defending Michael Corleone in The Godfather II.

He’s been more animated when talking about how terrible the Republicans are.

After all, when loyalties lie not in self-determining one’s own destiny but rather in the Federal Government actuating the wellbeing of the citizenry, there is a kinship with others that do the same.

Like ISIS.

I recall Obama’s same lack of vehemence when he was telling America,

“I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman . . . I’m not in favor of gay marriage.”

Then later, when he said that his opinions on gay marriage have, “evolved” his values took a different turn,

“I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.”

How long before his views on radical Islamic groups will, “evolve”?

I don’t think his views on gay marriage evolved at all. He was lying when he said he wasn’t in favor of gay marriage. He was in a campaign at the time. That’s why he lied.

And I think he’s lying now.

Please understand, I don’t believe Obama is in favor of beheading people who are not Islamic, but I do believe he’s in favor of the State controlling the hearts and minds of its people . . . and using force to do it.

With the grace of God, America has learned her lesson on electing a socialist President.

If not, the likes of ISIS will thrive, terrorism will grow, and socialism will have been buried in our system of government so deep, there will be no escape.

America, get ready to evolve.
