Pundits are racing to capitalize on this latest incident at Ft. Hood. For instance, Michael Bloomberg, that stalwart of American liberty, frothed that “days like this reminds us that killers with illegal guns murder 33 more people every day across America”. And Piers Morgan, CNN lackey, tweeted “if only there had been a good guy with a gun—such crap. The Ft Hood shooter was a good guy, until he turned bad with a gun”.
Translation from gun grabber to American: the most important aspect of this incident isn’t that American soldiers are disarmed and are therefore soft targets on their own turf, or that most mass shootings happen in “gun free zones”, it’s the control of your ability to defend yourself with guns.
Force is the real reason behind their agenda and it’s the last thing standing between a free people and an oppressive government. Surely, Germans who survived WWII could attest to this.
In crisis, there is unlimited opportunity for control, for agenda pushing, for power grabbing. The gun control crowd knows this. They are experts at not letting a good crisis go to waste. They honestly believe they can still win over the hearts and minds of Americans using their fear based agendas. Repeatedly they have tried to sensationalize, capitalize and marginalize every gun related incident so as to shove their agenda down the throats of Americans.
Well, here’s my unsolicited advice to the gun grabbers. Americans don’t always love their government, and they don’t always love each other, but they will always love their guns.
My heart goes out to the victims and families of Ft. Hood. You don’t deserve to be political pawns.
