Doomsday Prepper who vowed to Loot Neighbors arrested on Weapons Charges

Seems to us Prepping for Doomsday should not be a plan to Loot other Doomsday Preppers who put in the work.  Even Gun and Survival magazines and sites are glad this guy went down on weapons charges.

From Fox:

tylerPierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor says he couldn’t believe that felon Tyler Smith had the gall to break the law on national television.

“Did he really think we wouldn’t notice that he had done this? He was seen on television possessing, firing, holding a firearm and indicating that it was his intention to rob his neighbors, not defend his family in the event of something extreme, not to stay home and defend what he had, but to go out and take things from someone else,” Pastor said Wednesday.

Smith appeared in an episode of the National Geographic Channel’s ‘Doomsday Preppers’ reality show.

“We’re not in it to stockpile,” Smith says of what he plans to do in the event of a Doomsday event. “We’re in it to come take what you have, and there’s nothing you can do to stop us.”

Bearing Arms had this to say:

We ripped on bloated Doomsday Prepper Tyler Smith in November for his shameless plan to loot his neighbors at gunpoint in the event of a disaster. He is the antithesis of real preppers, who tend to be self-sufficient people intent on helping themselves and others in the event the worst comes to pass.

It was obvious during the cringe-worthy episode that Smith possessed no more than a room temperature IQ, but asserting that he was even that smart turns out to have been far too generous:

Smith was prominently featured in a segment that aired in November 2013. On the show, he is seen firing several rifles to test his home made body armor, claiming it is superior to professionally made bullet resistant vests. “It’s going to be light weight and stronger that anything you can buy in the  store,” Smith said on the show.

He also bragged for the camera about his plans to raid and loot other doomsday preppers’ supplies when the end times came. “All your shiny AR’s your high powered .308 rifles, your 50,000 rounds of ammo are all going to be ours”, Smith warned.
