Judge: Voter ID Law not to be enforced in 2013 Pennsylvania election

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A state judge has barred enforcement of Pennsylvania’s strict voter-voter_id_homepageidentification law in the Nov. 5 general election.

Commonwealth Court Judge Bernard McGinley also barred the state from requiring local elections officials to verbally tell voters at the polls that photo IDs could be required in future elections. But he says officials can distribute written material about the law.
