Congressman submits bill to end Presidential Term Limits

While we doubt H.J.RES.15, Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, will make it out of committee, this shows that the so-called paranoid right is not just dreaming things up.  There are folks who wish for repeal of Term Limits.  I expect that after the economy fails to improve, Democrats will say that Obama needs another term to clean up Bush’s mess.

Obama_thrid_termCongressman Jose Serrano (D-NY) put forth a House resolution that would repeal the twenty-second article of amendment to the United States Constitution on Friday. This would effectively remove term limits on the Presidency should it be ratified by three-fourths of the States. It has currently been sent to the House Judiciary Committee. The resolution would also have to pass both houses of Congress by two-thirds in each house.
