The state of Texas is the largest state in the continental United States second in size only to Alaska. Texas is a major supplier of oil and gas and has provided for 48% of the employment in the United States. Texas is the world’s fifteenth largest economy in the world in comparison to international nation states.
The Obama administration has fought a legal war against the Lone Star State over the last 4 years rather than using Texas as a guideline for business and economic management so as to learn how to create jobs elsewhere in the US, President Obama has seen fit to conduct regulatory attacks against Governor Perry’s state. For trying to uphold federal immigration law, Texas has been under attack by the Obama White House especially as the President has authorized ICE to release illegal immigrants who have been convicted of violating the law. Obama has used the EPA to shut down oil rigs and gas production under the aegis of clean air and licensing issues since the BP disaster which has cost 250,000 related jobs. This is the thanks from the Obama administration that Texas gets for generating abundant energy and jobs. It seems obvious that the administration has punished Texas for being independent more than anything else.
Now Texas will lead the nation against the tyranny of the Obama White House as pertaining to the recent NDAA legislation passed in December of 2011 Such draconian steps as S.1867, HR 347, and the National Defense and Resources Preparedness Act have worried many citizens, who have seen the US government adopting dark changes. Such as in sections 1021 and 1022 that give the federal government and the president the power to detain suspected terrorists indefinitely without trial or due process. State prosecutors will be imposing prison and fines against anyone complying with these laws or anyone trying to enforce such legislation in the state of Texas.
In this battle against the federal government over state’s rights and individual liberties of the citizens, this act of resistance may be the last straw against the intended dictatorial powers of the executive branch of the US. Our freedoms as we know them, may very well be on the brink unless the individual states begin to take back this country through state nullification or secession. Which ever course of action it will be, Americans can count on the federal government pursuing its own interests not those of the people.
Representative Lyle Larson of Texas has proposed House Bill 149
The Texas Liberty Preservation Act which was filed on November twelfth. This bill will criminalize the implementation of the NDAA within Texas state borders. This act of defiance against the federal government, specifically the Obama White House will, no doubt, encourage other states to conduct their own acts of defiance to the increasing stranglehold being placed upon the states and the citizens of the US under the regime. It is time for the people to act.
In all this there is a very simple reason for the now warped relationship between an overbearing federal government and the people. That single reason is responsible for many of our problems due to what the federal government forgot, the executive branch forgot, the judicial branch forgot, and legislative segments of the government developed memory loss over, and that was, “We the people” are supposed to own that government. Yet, we are so intimidated by and pushed around by that entity as it perpetuates itself by passing more and more laws. As defined in the US Constitution, the exact relationship between the citizen and the government is precisely spelled out for those in the government and for those the government is supposed to be representing. That role has drastically changed under the continued assault by liberals and progressives who have tried to fundamentally transform America into a parallel realm with the Marxist mindset so faithfully regurgitated in the words of Lenin the Bolshevik revolutionary of Russia.
