The Right Way or The Left Way? by Joe Keck

If Barack Obama loses his run for a second term as President, then he will not have lost for himself only, he will have lost for his party, for his philosophy, and for Liberal politics and governance in general. To put a finer point on it, the Liberal way will have been shown to be wanting.

And with the economy in such deplorable shape, I’m being kind, here.

When Obama ran for office four years ago, like Clinton, Carter, and all Democrat candidates, he didn’t let us know just how leftist he really was. That’s how Liberals do it. They hide their socialist colors in the guise of a JFK style Progressivism. They all talk like a Democrat of a generation ago. They have to. If they didn’t, they’d hardly get a single vote.

So it’s Beatitudinal catchphrases and vacuous centrist rhetoric about helping each other and giving everyone a chance.

“Hope and change.”

“Restoring our place in the world.”

“Bringing America’s reputation back.”

Let’s take a look at what we have actually gleaned in a leftist style approach to governing.

At its best number-wrangling totals, we have 8.1 percent unemployment. We have more Americans depending on Government assistance than in any time in our nation’s history. We have the lowest wage level since we began keeping records in 1929, and all of it came by way of Democrat ideas in just four short years.

Oh yeah, one more thing. We are a trillion dollars in debt. Let me repeat that. WE ARE A TIRLLION DOLLARS IN DEBT!

How about if we illustrate that number in more understandable terms. It’s a million million million. Or, written out numerically, $1,000,000,000,000.

But I digress.

As I was saying, for Democrats, there is more at stake in the upcoming election in November than just Obama’s job performance and its ramifications.

Their performance also is on the line.

Or better, the performance of their way of driving the Country Car.

Obama was more ambitious that any Democrat President we’ve seen in a long time. He took us further left than any Administration in modern times. With bail-outs (started by Bush, sure, which greatly irritated me), legalizing illegal aliens, demanding coverage for contraceptives by religious institutions such as the Roman Catholic Church, cuts to the military, and making it law that citizens had to purchase health insurance.

These are a Liberal’s dream, things that every good, screaming Progressive would want. And after all this left-wing, socialist, ‘The State knows better’ administrative home runs, we have the results. A steady 8.1 percent unemployment, more people on food stamps than we’ve ever seen before, and A TIRLLION DOLLARS IN DEBT!

But, according to Obama, it’s working.

Well, Mr. President, Americans aren’t!

My point is this: Barack Obama’s system of governing isn’t only his system of governing, it’s the Liberal system of governing. It’s not so much that Obama failed, but rather Liberalism has failed.

If you wanted to see what Democrats want, what they’ve been squalling about all these years, how they would run the country if they only had the chance to implement their loving, caring, tear-drenched compassionate ideas, you got it. For the last four years, we’ve had the Left in the driver’s seat. Now we know what it looks like when The Democrat Methodology is applied to our nation’s bankbook, safety net, and workforce.

And it looks like debt, mass welfare, and an out of work population.

When we fire Obama in November, it should logically follow that all those that go along with his way of thinking should be fired as well. If Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or any other Democrat were President, we would have seen the same economic chaos Obama has brought us, although perhaps not quite as drastic in scope.

Same animal, just not as fat.

But they’re all the same ideas, all the same perspectives. It’s the same system. Liberal. And disaster is the result.

Barack Obama and the Democrats have given us the Left way of doing things these past four years, which has come close to bankrupting out country, but we shouldn’t be resentful, or angry, or vindictive. We should simply smile, pat their heads and politely say, “Thanks, honey, now move over and let the grown-ups drive for a while.”

If Romney governs more like Reagan and less like Bush and far, far less like Obama, then we will be able to show the nation the right way of doing things, and at the same time, the Right way of doing things.
