Father of Wounded Veteran to Mitt Romney ‘Look Me In the Eye’

It appears that after this program, the veteran has gotten his case reviewed and taken care of… what is the reason that a veteran gets help only after national attention?

Shouldn’t every veteran get the same level of care?  This is an example of a failed administration who only works when media is involved.  Very sad.. But glad for this one service member.  This administration allows for a soccer field in GITMO for detainees and cuts Tri-Care for our service members tells us there is something terribly wrong.

Now, how about the rest of the troops!

David McArthur, a small business owner, became emotional when he asked Mitt Romney what he will do to take care of veterans like his son, who suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

In tears, McArthur said to Romney, “The government has repeatedly denied services because his wounds aren’t visible. He will never be able to return to the regular work force. This week President Obama’s administration, again, cut his benefits. Sir, will you look me in the eye and tell me he’ll be taken care of.”

Romney replied, “I want you to know how much I appreciate your son’s sacrifice for our country, and I appreciate your sacrifice, your family’s sacrifice for our country. To those who put everything on the line, we owe everything they need. And I can tell you if I’m president of the United States, I’ll not be raising co-pays on soldiers that are wounded, on men and women who serve this country. And I will do everything in my power to help your son and the men and boys and women and girls like him.”
