Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to Endorse Romney

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan is set to endorse Mitt Romney Thursday afternoon, the governor’s office confirmed late Wednesday.

Mr. Snyder will throw his support behind Mr. Romney at a luncheon at the Livonia Chamber of Commerce in metro Detroit.

On Monday, Mr. Snyder told reporters that he would endorse this week, and many political watchers expected that he would get behind Mr. Romney. The two men are both former businessmen-turned-politicians, and Mr. Romney endorsed Mr. Snyder when he was running for governor in 2010.
