Inspector General Probes NLRB Republican

Figures, this Admin IG thinks a republican resigning is an issue at the NLRB. Laughable!  Guess it is OK for Democrats to walk out of a state senate to avoid a vote about Unions, but one guy is acting  fraudulently if he resigns.  Unbelievable

The National Labor Relations Board’s inspector general is investigating whether Republican board member Brian Hayes was improperly influenced to threaten to resign in order to hobble the agency, a Democratic congressional leader’s office said Monday.

Republicans have accused the agency of favoring unions over businesses under the Obama administration’s watch and have recently fought a proposed rule that would speed union-organizing elections.

A resignation by Mr. Hayes would leave the board without the quorum it needs to finalize the rule by year end or establish any other major rules. Mr. Hayes, the only Republican on the three-member board, had threatened to resign several weeks ago ahead of a board vote on the proposal, which Republicans and business groups have opposed since it was first announced in June.
