Media Bias prevails with NBC song selection during Bachmann segment – no public apology needed?
We will point out that had this been any other woman, especially a Liberal woman, and had this been any other outlet (like Fox News) the outrage would not cease. An on air personal apology would be required. Even after, the left would not be happy and demand the firing or suspension of the offender. (See Don Imus).
We demand that QuestLove apologize to Congresswoman Bachmann on Air. But we won’t hold her breath.
It is not only Conservative woman, it is woman in politics period. We remember that it seems allowable to attach Hillary Clinton where if the same were lodged at the Senator Barack Obama, the news shows would go wild.
Have we ever heard a commentator ask a man about how he would rear his children and handle the free world? Selective outrage and Political correctness run amok.
NBC and Questlove apologize on the air.. twitter doesn’t cut it.
NBC Expresses Regret to Bachmann Over Introduction on Fallon Show
Jimmy Fallon does not plan to address Wednesday night the issue of a song with an offensive title that was played during the introduction of Representative Michele Bachmann on his NBC late-night show.
But network executives said on Wednesday that they had made efforts to express regret to Mrs. Bachmann for the decision of Mr. Fallon’s house band, the Roots, to play an obscure song by the group Fishbone with an offensive title.
The show was broadcast Monday night. On Tuesday, anger built online once people had understood the coded message in the song choice. On Wednesday, Mrs. Bachmann demanded an apology from NBC, calling the song choice sexist. On Fox News, she called it an outrage.
NBC sent a letter to Mrs. Bachmann expressing regret, one NBC executive said, insisting that the show did not mean to offend her. The executive, who asked not to be identified because the network was trying to put the issue to rest as privately as possible, said the letter could not be categorized as a formal apology.
