“60 Minutes” challenged Nancy Pelosi on her conflict of interest while Speaker and facilitating financial reform while being involved with credit card companies.

The buzz is that 60 minutes started sending a reporter to Minority Leader Pelosi briefings and is asking pointed questions about her involvement with the banking industry and legislation that dealt with Credit Card companies.   Additionally members of her family have received stimulus money in the Green technologies sector and Pelosi had the inside track on Obama’s Green agenda and she over saw the stimulus bill many parts.

only “60 Minutes” knows if they have a real story, but if they took the time to send a correspondent to the Pelosi and Boehner briefings at the Capitol, that could well mean they are in hot pursuit of something, because Steve Kroft does not attend regular news conferences like these on Thursday.

Pelosi’s past investments have brought some press, but a “60 Minutes” story would certainly ratchet up the attention.
