A national poll released Wednesday shows former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain leading former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. Additionally, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has moved past Texas Gov. Rick Perry into third place.
According to the Public Policy Polling (D) survey, Cain leads the field with 30 percent support. Romney has 22 percent, Gingrich has 15 percent, and Perry has 14 percent. None of the other candidates garners more than 5 percent support.
