KANSAS CITY, MO (September 29, 2011) – Karen Floyd, who as chair presided over perhaps the most successful mid-term election ever for the South Carolina Republican Party in 2010, announced today to a group of 1,500 women attending the 36th Biennial Convention of the National Federation of Republican Women the creation of, a new source of news, information, analysis, and commentary for Conservative women and causes.

The site, which will officially launch on Sunday, October 2, will include results from a straw poll the PalladianView team will conduct at the National Federation of Republican Women’s 36th Biennial Convention in Kansas City, Mo. The straw poll will go far beyond mere presidential preference numbers, as PalladianView will provide the most comprehensive analysis and demographic data of likely female conservative voters yet in this campaign.

The launch of comes on the heels of 2010’s mid-terms, which were dubbed “The Year of the Republican Woman” following the election of three new governors (Mary Fallin of Oklahoma, Nikki Haley of South Carolina, and Susana Martinez of New Mexico), a new Senator (Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire), and eight new members of Congress.

“As the past 12 to 18 months have made clear, Conservative women have become an undeniable political force,” Floyd said. “At the same time, challenges remain in countering attacks based on old stereotypes. Palladian View is important because it is the first online information resource dedicated to supporting the continued ascension of Conservative women.”
Palladian View will be organized into five distinct sections:

  • The Foundation is devoted to providing news and commentary to the three types of conservative women voters: Value Voters, Libertarians/libertarians, and Traditional Republicans.
  • The Ledge houses political action committees for both South Carolina and federal women candidates.
  • The Pillar will feature insight from dozens of leaders nationwide to topic-driven questions each day.
  • The Arch will link to Republican women running for office at all levels and also link to conservative organizations.
  • The Keystone features opinion and commentary chosen by Floyd, the site’s Publisher.

About Karen Floyd

In her role as S.C. GOP Chair, Floyd united the party around Haley’s candidacy following a tumultuous primary as Haley became the first woman governor in state history. The party also for the first time swept every constitutional office, expanded its margin the state Legislature to a record high, retired the debt on its state headquarters, and was pivotal in helping Mick Mulvaney, a little-known state Senator, oust Democratic Congressman John Spratt, a 14-term incumbent and chair of the House Budget Committee. Floyd also is the owner of three companies based in South Carolina – a marketing and technology business and two global consumer product development and sourcing companies.
