Weprin ran a horrible campaign and Democrats wasted a lot of money on TV instead of talking to people the old fashioned way by ringing doorbells.

It was so bad that even the dead voters broke 51 percent for Turner and polls did not close in the Maple Grove Cemetery near Kew Gardens until 10 PM.

what i think is funny is how stupid you are. out of 41 comments there are only anonymous comments and one of them is a conservative and another one of the re-posted with a name. so how does your comment relate to this website… you are like every other conservative don’t believe the truth when it is right in front of them..

P.S. next time learn how to spell LESSON 1 its Spelled ANONYMOUS not anyomous the little red line under the word means its spelled wrong…. maybe they shouldn’t have cut all the teachers where your at…

The Democrats use that Saul Alinsky tactic because their positions do not allow their arguements to be won using logic, reason, facts, history or ethics, so name calling and denigration is all that they have to use.

  • vegandave

It is the Democrat Party that is associated with voting fraud.

  • vegandave

    Please cite Senate Bill number.

  • vegandave

I agree with jtom – don’t count the US out just yet.

Still, the only chance this country has is to understand how it has been slowly and quietly undermined by Progressives (mostly cloaked as Democrats – but including some RINOs) whose agenda is to fundamentally convert this country to a European style socialist country (at best) or a full-blown communist country (the Progressive nirvana).

Progressives at every level must be ousted from power – or we are in fact doomed without any hope of returning to a thriving country with strong liberties and a strong economy.

  • vegandave

Fixing the Democrat Party would be a fools errand. Once upon a time, the Democrat Party stood for different things than it does now.

Long ago, Progressives vowed to silently takeover a main stream political party and use it to slow convert the US into a communist country. Remember, many Democrats – including Hillary Clinton – proudly and outwardly proclaim themselves to be Progressives (communists).

The ACLU was founded as a means to bring about the judicial distortions necessary to so convert the US. Years ago, the ACLU’s outwardly stated goal was to slowly erode the US judicial system and American opinion such that the US could be transformed by Progressives into a socialist/communist country.

At this point, 68 Democrats are members of the Democrat Socialist Caucus. Prior to the November 2010 election that number stood at 72.

In August, Obama was endorsed by the Communist Party US.

The AFL-CIO is outwardly associated with the Communist Party USA. The AFL-CIO is closely aligned with the DNC.

The DNC’s principal benefactor and puppeteer, George Soros, is a self proclaimed communist.

The bottom line is that the Democrat Party is now – for all intents and purposes – the US communist political party.

spacedude61, PEOPLE WHO CAN AFFORD A HOUSE SHOULD HAVE ONE,that does not include everyone. The housing bubble burst because people that got houses could not have afforded them got them. There are plenty of hard working Americans out there working their asses off and making their mortgages. And their are alot of Americans out their walking away from their mortgages, or just not paying and being evicted. Yes i feel bad for them, only i could not afford a mortgage and i didn’t go out and get one.

  • Joe F

I forgot it’s now “far-left” to want to keep things like Social Security/Medicare and believe people shouldn’t have to live without healthcare or face record poverty in a country experiencing unprecedented wealth. “The left” in this country is moderate/conservative compared to the rest of the first-world and look how much worse off we are than them. Instead of “Taxed Enough Already” it should be called “Gullible and Stupid” or even more better “Fuck You Got Mine”.

  • Carol Bahl

So you republicans have one an election so be it. but if anyone who keeps voting for these tea baggers who honestly believe that putting to death 234 people deserves to get a hand clapping and also letting a hypothetical 30 year old man die because he couldn’t take care of things and spend a “a couple of hundred dollars for health insurance a month” (first find me a place to buy health insurance for that much)well it doesn’t bother you because it is not in your back yard. Well I pray that you never ther because if the government you want becomes so detached you will then know the true meaning of standing alone.God help you all

  • Joe F

So the $700 billion we spend on defense has no stimulative properties within the economy? The market can function on it’s own and doesn’t need the state to enforce its ownership of resources? They don’t need the government safety net when Capitalism shits the bed once every decade?

  • Joe F

Man I’m so glad we’re voting more Neo-Conservatives into office, they’re policies haven’t worked once in 30 years but they will this time! Maybe if wealthy people control 99.9% of the country wealth and assets instead of just 3/4 we can have some prosperity.

If you are going to Blame our President for the economy, then it needs to be mentioned thhat since Pesident Obama has taken office the Dow has risin’ over 3,000 points, and is now with the most recent drop still up some 2,000 points… giving tax breaks to large super corporations, only enables them to shift production offshore to China, Mexico, Malaysia, and lose more jobs here at home… As Americans we should be supporting our Presiddent, no matter wether he or she is a Democrat Republican or Other political Party… We the People must stand together, and a void being divided by the media crazys…

  • Jonathan James

It’s always been thus: Democrats create and handle the laws and programs that are, generally, for the public. Republicans campaign to get the Democrats out of office. And people still vote for the guys who’ve gotten our country into this mess, and who’ve done it simply to make the Dems look bad . . . what good have the Republicans done for our country, really? What, in reality? Name one thing that doesn’t have to do with vilifying, or otherwise negatively affecting, their opposition . . . one positive thing. Get rid of Medicare? Get rid of Social Security? Privatize everything? Look at the history of these agendas . . . they don’t serve us, the American citizens, very well at all. They’re all designed to create class warfare and class divisions. Come on folks, get realistic. The Republicans, and especially the more conservative republicans, don’t have our interests at heart, and they lie to win our votes. Every single time. They have to.

  • Craig

Well Spacedude61, your math is no better. 54 to 46 is NOT 5 to 4. If you can’t live with %’s, and your pea brain can only understand simple numerical ratios, the closest integers which approximate a 54-46 victory would be about 7 to 6. Hope you are enjoying Obama’s last term in office… ;-)

The economy can be fixed, but that takes leadership, and political courage.

A total revamping of the Tax Code, and the imposition of a VAT or National Sales Tax, exclusively dedicated to reducing the federal debt. With a 10% VAT, the federal debt could be reduced by $5/6 Trillion dollar, maybe more.

The GST, Good & Services Tax, worked extremely well in Australia. It provided a huge boom to the Australian treasury.

It iincluded a revenue sharing plan with the states, because it eliminate most if not all state sales taxes.

I am a traditional America, a term like better than a Conservative, and I like th eidea of encouraging saving, and penalizing spending, and the cash economy.

Why must the “government” pay bills for people who should have made plans for a “rainy day.” (pun intended) Ninety percent of the people without health insurance (note, I did not say without healthCARE) and who now want it but can’t get it because of “pre-existing” conditions refused to by insurance when they were still healthy, typically because they say they didn’t need it then.

Wake up public school graduates. INSURANCE is something you buy BEFORE something bad happens, to cover the financial burden involved with that bad event. Seriously now, do you wait until you have a grease fire on the stove to buy insurance on your house in case of a fire? If some pathetic idiot came crying to you because his house burned down and he didn’t have any insurance, you would immediately think to yourself, “What an idiot to not buy homeowner’s insurance.”

Yes, I know most of the people in the immediate situation were harmed by flood waters. Did you know that most people can get flood insurance for $129 a year? If you can afford over $100,000 for a house, you can afford $129 for flood insurance. If you are a renter, you can buy flood insurance to cover your personal property in the residence.

  • TheLastBrainLeft

Everything has to be paid for. Money does not grow on trees. Tell the Democrats in the Senate to pass an emergency funding bill that won’t increase the deficit. That’s what we in NY-9 want. That’s the message sent last night. The old ways of doing things are over.

  • JAMIE SMITH

as a dem…. this may at first sound shocking, but, I kinda want the party of the rich and stupid (that’s you elephants) to win next year…….. all of you conservatives that are out there saying “oh this is a message to Obama”. that is such bullshit do you freaking have amnesia or just a problem with your short term memory do you remember just in may the election for 26th Congressional District in northwest New York state. where the demo won that strict republican district. so by my score it is 1 to 1. so in my book this election doesn’t mean shit. the only election that means anything is in 2012 so dont start to get excited because in the long run the man that order the hit on osama bi ladin will win because what that action said to me was this guy when it comes down to it can get shit done… if i am not mistaken it was a republican pres that droped the ball in tora bora…dont believe me look up the document from the 111th congress which is now can be viewed to the pulic.

P.S. For anyone that cant handle harsh language kiss my ass this is america i can say what i want when i want…

This is a good thing .Obama wants to destroy America by putting us in huge debt It is what he was taught in Colombia (if he even went there)and his commie friends ..Look at the people he has surrounded himself with ..Many are admitted marxist and communist hacks. The female California polititians are about the only thing that is worse…Pelosi,Waters,Boxer Feinstein. If you voted for Obama to prove you were not a racist you will have to vote for someone else to prove you are not an IDIOT ….Peace

  • Jtom

Don’t sell the US short. If we can elect enough Congressmen with the intelligence to not overspend, many of us would agree to have our taxes raised to pay off the debt.
We are doomed only if Congress keeps spending. We aren’t going to let them have more of our money to waste.

  • Jtom

I was there too. The sarcasm thing doesn’t work too well on the Internet thingy…

All 3 of those I mentioned had recounts that, for 2 of them, went to the D party, where before they won, the “wanted to make sure the count was fair,” and after the count was in their favor, “the count is done. let’s stop this sillines.”

And, of course, the Media asked the R candidate, “Why do you hate people, and want to drag this on another day? Have you always been a sore loser?” and asked the D candidate, “We knew you won all along, how is it you’re so awesome, and even have the patience to put up with these shenanigans? Can I rename my 16 year old child after you?”

  • bobthebuilder

All you liberals can do is try to make fun of thought full conservatives who what a better country to pass on to their children, and you have to call them names like a 3rd grader on the play ground. Get a life and a brain while you are at it – even Obama has to be frightened of the TEA Party – Bag that Lib.

  • Jeff in Everett

Not sure where you’re going with the Hitlerisms, but a few historical observations, generally agreed to by historians:

Russians were Communists, hence the name Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1917 – 1991
Hitler was a Socialist, as Nazi translates to National Socialist Party
Hitler did team up with Russia, and divided Poland. Then, after the Battle of Britain looked to be a win for Germany, he attacked Russia.
Yes, some Jews were Communists, so calling a particular Jew a Communist may, in fact, by a fact.
I’m sure Hitler loved puppies, and Eva Braun. That just makes him 99.999999% bad. Still not inviting him to speak at the Synagogue.

Just for fun, next time, could you tell us what your point was?

  • Mark Woolerford

America’s teat is plumb dry from leeches like you. Get off your lazy arse and pay for your own insurance or suffer the consequences.

  • Informed Tax Payer

Certainly we don’t deserve what we have now.
But we do deserve a significantly lower unemployment rate and under employment rate.
What liberals can’t ever hope to understand is that investors and business owners will always close and shutter their windows when a liberal is in the White House because they don’t know what kind of grandiose scheme is on the horizon. It makes them very cautious.
You want jobs and plenty of them?
    Then don’t vote for liberals.
    That is a semi-complex thought, so I don’t expect you’ll understand.

  • Jeff in Everett

No, we haven’t even started. See you November 6, 2012.

  • Jeff in Everett

Yes, Mr. Obama is truly focused like a candle on jobs.

Why is it he sends a bill to Congress that he knows won’t pass? I mean, really, it has $420B in taxes, and $447B in spending, after saying “Pass this Bill,” a week before it is delivered to Congress.

This is akin to you, going to your significant other, and saying, “We need to buy this investment, just say ‘yes’ and I’ll bring it home.” If you’re the significant other, and you see it, and don’t like it, what do you do?

But, going back to your other points, I think one thing you need to learn, and that’s the Constitution, where Article I is about the legislative body, and Article 2 is about the Executive Branch. Ever wonder why? Maybe the people that fought and died to start this country thought it was better to not have a king, no matter if he was called, “President,” “The One,” or anything else.

  • http://politisite.com Charles Hake

Hey, didn’t Weprin vote FOR gay marriage in New York? The conservative (Orthodox) Jewish folks in his district didn’t appreciate that, nor did any other true religious, moral conservatives. THAT may well also be at least part of the reason he’s now toast! Moral issues matter, and most certainly, the bedrock institution of traditional one-man, one-woman marriage matters!

  • Jeff in Everett

Actually, during Bush’s term, from 2001-2007, the House was controlled by Republicans, and the Senate was a bit mixed… it went back and forth, due to people switching sides.

  • http://politisite.com/ politisite

I noticed that he went from up 6 to up 8 at the end. That beat our (and the polls) expectations by 2 points

  • http://publiusetiam.blogspot.com Publius

    Amen Mike!

Of course these little socialists have never run a business. Why should they need to, when their buddies in the government have them on the dole?

  • Jeff in Everett

Actually, no, just picking anyone but Obama will give us McCain (let me give the finger to my party, and do whatever my friends across the aisle want me to do, that’s bipartisanship), Bush 43 (I want people that hate me to like me, so I’ll sign McCain-Feingold, prescription Medicare, and TARP… I could go on…), Bush 41 (no new taxes, making EPA a cabinet level position), Nixon (hey, let’s start the EPA, imposed price controls, created SSI).

How about we don’t care if the press likes our candidate, and we vote for a real conservative, and the press will hate them after they’re selected, no matter what they say before the convention.

  • http://politisite.com/ politisite

Keep in mind that the Purse is held by the Congress. Democrats seem to forget that in 1994 the Congress was taken over by the GOP for the first time in 40 years. You see the results. President Clinton deserves credit as well.. but he was in a rare condition where we were not at war and the economy was on the rise. Folks also forget that that Clinton left us in a Recession, The internet bubble burst, then their was 9/11 that cost America a great deal. Seems that Democrats forget that in their analysis. The economy was in a bubble before Bush took Office. Now I am not in agreement with many of the things he did in his second term, but he does not deserve the flat attacks he gets as he was in a very tough atmosphere and handled it pretty well considering.

Thanks for your comments and hope you come back

We probably shouldn’t have the idiots that were in the R camp either in the House, Senate, and WH. If the R’s get another chance at the whole thing, they had better not be the Democrat-Lite party, like from 2001-2007.

Instead of McConnell for the Senate Leader, how about DeMint, and for the House, Bachmann, Cantor, or Alan West for Speaker?

What do you say we have two parties, not pale pastels, but bold colors?

Obama campaign promise – He will CUT the deficit in half.
The truth – He tripled it in his term alone.
when he took office the unemployment rate was much lower than it has been since. And it’s at record levels.
When he took office gas was 1.85 a gallon. And the poverty level is higher now than it has ever been (since they started tracking it in the 50’s) These are indisputable facts. Look it up.

    THANK YOU… BROOKLYN!

You have dealt the a huge blow to the White House and the Obama agenda by voting 7 to 3 for a REPUBLICAN. The first time since 1920 that the seat went Republican!

Impressive and we thank you for helping to place a vote for Democracy and the American way. It really isn’t hard to do as this Democratic party has so lost it’s way.

Please remember to help dump this Obama chracter in 2012 as we will certainly need Brooklyn’s help to once again show Queens how to do the right thing for this great nation! Thanks again Brooklyn… We love your true grit!

Yes Bush wasnt a good president, only what do we have now. I get so mad at the dems saying that Bush had 8 years to ruin the economy. Oh yes Bush did his part. Only lets talk about the dems who won control of both houses in 06. Yes it was a slight in Senate, just big in house. Then the dems won super majorities in 08. So lets see the dems had 4 years in the house including 2 super majority years. And they now have had almost 5 years in the senate, including 2 years of super majority years. This economy was ruined when Clinton said “everyone should live the American dream and own a house.” Then the dems would not let that change. Look where that has taken us?

To my Jewish friends….Thank you for finally opening up your eyes. As an Italian American I always wondered how a people so family and business oriented could vote for the Democrats and be so liberal. Thank the good Lord that you understood what this Administration has done to our best friend Israel. Shame on them and shame on those who support anyone that would throw a friend off the cliffs. Good job and let’s hope that Turner does the right thing for his district and not be a little Wiener.

the funny thing is there is no logical progression in any liberal argument and so all you have left is to resort to ad hominem logical fallacies. Bush was a liberal as he greatly expanded the scope of the federal government and Obama inherited much of this but instead of being responsible he escalated the deficits, the debt, stalled the economy with large amounts of regulations, and then criticizes republicans for the economy when he had 2 years of a dem congress and they couldn’t help the economy (there have been 0 laws repealed since republicans gained the house). Rather we should be curing ourselves of this notion that Keynesian economics works because it hasn’t for the last 70 years. The answer is deregulate, even and lower taxes, and stop accumulating debt that I will spend my life paying for.

    Enough goofy talk!

This election is the biggest news of the day. The 9th congressional district has not been won by a Republican since Warren Harding was elected president in 1920. The election very likely marks the end of the Obama era. It is very unlikely that America will ever be able to dig itself out of its trillions of dollars of debt but it is not too late for Americans to search and find some brave politicians who will be willing to walk the moral high ground while we ride out the coming storm.

DC, may I ask how old you are?

    TIA..

Thank you, Politisite for informing me throughout the returns.

Too bad, Dumb. Looks like Turner wins. This isn’t just one more victory. This one is significant.

I think the point you are making is that Washington is broken, i.e. corrupt. The bigger the government the greater the greed. If only we had media that told the truth instead of a Soros-owned network glob toeing the line ceaselessly for the Left.

And BTW, Moderates are just people who don’t have a spine (yet?).

  • Iregretmyvote

Oh good gosh, there is hope after all! I can hardly wait until 2012! If we can just hold the spending until then.

    Hey dumb con,

did you forget (probably just didn’t know…..During the majority of Bush’s leadership, we had a Dimocratic congress and a Dimocratic senate.
Congress and the Senate pass the laws and fun the programs! The president is 1/3 of the picture! Even when we had a Dim president (still do) and a Dim Congress and a Dim Senate they still couldn’t pass a budget! But they sure could ram O-But-hole care down everyone’s throat! When are you liberals going to learn, No one owes you Anything! Stand on your own merits!

  • Kenyan Hunter

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder and the libs posting comments here prove it. We agree that George Bush wasn’t that hot but Obama is 100 times worse. The Tea Party is trying to straighten out the Repubs but who is trying to fix the Dems? Nobody ! You folks are well satisfied with communists running your party and you support any garabge they come up with. Bush did not ruin the economy. Dems policies started under Clinton regarding housing was a big factor. The Repubs and Bush tried to fix it. The Dems fought against fixing the problem and it blew up while Bush was in office. Now, Obama has made things much worse and his polcies are destroying jobs and our economy. If you can’t admit that, you are clueless beyond belief !

  • Johnny B. Good

89 years out of power in this district–wow!

I figured Reps would get close, thereby winning a “moral victory” of sorts, but this, this is an early Christmas, or Hannukah, present!

Lesson learned: If your party messes with Israel, you will be punished, by G-d and by the voters.

  • MireyaAyala

    Obama = Worst. President. Ever!

His policies are destroying this nation. Our economy, morality and credit status have been harmed by a guy who is nothing more than an inexperienced lawyer and bad community organizer.

Obama could not leed a horse to water. He does not have a clue. That is his problem. Rush predicted the stimulus bill would not work, and he was right. You demacommies had your turn, time for someone else. These results should not surprise you demacommies. Obama focused all his attention on his health care plan that is gonna get destroyed by the supreme court instead of the economy and he wil pay for it in 2012. ANYBODY BUT OBAMA 2012!

You’re a pretty ignorant guy aren’t you? Your posts don’t have any basis in fact. You just regurgitate the ignorant things that go around your close minded circles.

  • shannon

Today obama gave a speech. He first explained the importance of closing tax loopholes, then he explained his new bill gives numerous tax breaks to companies if they hire a vet or someone out of the workforce for 6 months. Arent those loopholes? In addition, he further rallied the crowd by saying that a vet who left a career and was called in to duty should be able to find a job when he/she returns from war. There is already a federal law for this. Dont scare people into thinking you have great ideas. If a soldier had a career and was called up and has active duty orders, that soldier is protected when he comes off those orders ….interestingly enough, government jobs are exempt from that law.
Point is, these are lies. Im not making it up. Its plain as day. And just because i dont support obama does not mean that i do/did support Bush. So you can shove the anti-bush rhetoric you are about to spew. It falls on deaf ears. All i want to know is, can you admit that today, in that speech, there were several misleading points? Yes or no?

  • robear

Oh, yeah, You’d never see Obama blaming someone else for the economy.

Only uneducated and individuals with low IQ use profanity to make their point. The fact are thatnthe socialist have been waging war on job creators, that would be the private sector. Do you honestly believe Dems had no hand in the financial debacle? Are you kidding me? Just because people like you keep saying this doesn’t make it any more true and it certainly doesn’t help the situation. Truth is Dems wanted to give loans to people who could afford them because this was somehow fair. Instead they drove these poor people to ruin and tanked our economy too.

Usually it is a bad sign for the GOP when it takes this long to count votes in close elections.

  • duckhuntr

Why is it that Democrats revert to name calling when someone disagrees with them?

  • Silonline

Hey DUMBCon: Bush didn’t cause the problems. They were caused by liberals forcing banks to make home loans to people who could not afford to pay them because it wasn’t “fair” that people who do all the right things in life should have a house when people who messed up their lives with bad decisions can’t. And as bad as it was before, the democrats in Congress and the president are now pressuring banks to do the same thing to help keep these same people in the homes they can’t afford. It’s liberals who want to make everything fair (translate take from those who produce and give it to those who don’t) that are the cause of the problems – not Republicans.

  • And Winner is?

Tea Baggers are the angriest, most selfish, ego-centric, hate mongers on the planet. Watching the debate last night when the audience applauded letting a man die who didn’t have insurance and applauded again the number of people put to death in Texas by Perry? What kind of sick perverted people are YOU? If this is what America has come to God save us all…..and I’m emploring God as a non-Christian and non-Jew. But right now I have to wonder if He even exists if this is what His followers do…We (the U.S.A.) used to pride ourselves on helping others, especially those less fortunate, but now Republicans can’t even bring themselves to vote for JOBS for the citizens of this country, for fear they will give Obama a “win”. What about the COUNTRY???? Can they just vote for the COUNTRY to win? That says it all for me. Anti-American, unpatriotic and just plain evil, just to make this president fail.

  • Ex dem

I hope so too, anything would be better than Obama. Now there’s a man who messed up the economy , pointed his finger at the other guys and has all his followers blindly believing him. He is the most divisive man in Washington. This election is a direct reflection on the president. It is sending a. Message

  • John

The tea party wasn’t even a thought until Obama started printing money and spending like a mad man for his favorite interest that didn’t create any jobs. Best part was he gave wavers for his favorite buddys/unions on Obamacare because it would break them… Keep sucking it you might get something out of it maybe?

No. The hate is for the GOP. I believe in their “philosophy” of less government, less taxes, and more individual responsibility.

But look at their TRACK RECOrd. They’ve F)(*&^ ed us up so much that I cannot BELIEVE ANYONE can vote for their party….EVER!

It’s like voting for Jim Baker as head of Christians worldwide. Stand for one thing, BUT SCREW your constituents in the rear-end.

Have they no SHAME? And have voters forgotten the REAL A$$ES who created this mess?

Kick Dems and Obama out. Get a new party, a moderate party, and I’ll be happy to sign on.

But rewarding the Repubs with another seat in Congress is just PLAIN STUPID!

VOTE ALL REPUBS OUT! And Dems too if we can get a MODERATE party to replace them.

The problem is that people in NY 9 are speaking louder than union leaders, VP, Maxine “Go to Hell” and, unfortunately, some of us don’t like what they are saying. In that CD, the noise, win or lose, will be so loud that it will be heard around the nation!

I just called a friend of mine who ran for and won a lower house seat in S Dakota last election. I told him TO RUN FOR CONGRESS in 2012!!

My wife and I had voted today. But it wasn’t easy , when they learned that we’re not registered Democrats. For about 15 minutes they tried to convince us that we’re not in the voting district , then finally found us on the list. Interesting, that they found our daughter, a registered Democrat, right away.

I’d have to say that BOTH parties can get pretty shady when it comes to voting, yet they hesitate to institute photo ID verification for entry to a voting booth.  Hmmmm…..

That said, I’d have to give the “shady vote” Oscar to the demonrats.  ANY election in Chicago, New Orleans, San Francisco, New Dork City or the states of Florida and Nevada are prime examples.  Dead-voter registrations tripled between 2006 and 2008 in all the cities mentioned.
