President Barack Obama on 'The View' (Live-Blog)

President Barack Obama taped an appearance on “The View” yesterday, and the show is airing today. “The View,” believe it or not, has been increasingly focused on booking politicians (you can read Journal reporter Amy Chozick’s story about the subject here). It’s part of the show’s strategy to hook viewers in the runup to the 2010 midterm elections.

So why did Obama decide to go on the daytime chatfest? “I was trying to find a show that [First Lady] Michelle [Obama] actually watched,” the President said on the show.

During the program, the president talks about his administration’s accomplishments, his greatest obstacles, and why he wasn’t invited to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.
