Probably won’t be long before Al Gore asks President Obama to buy carbon offsets from his company to be redeemed from allowing offshore drilling to occur. Gore believes it is fine for him to use dirty jet aircraft to fly around
Jake Tapper over at ABC had this to say:
Vice President Al Gore’s environmental group, Alliance for Climate Protection, has started to criticize actions taken by President Obama supporting offshore oil drilling — and as if to underline the point, Gore this week tweeted praise for a column making some of the criticisms.
“Another great post from Maggie Fox,” the former vice president tweeted on Wednesday, providing a link to a column by Alliance president and CEO Maggie Fox in the National Journal in which she wrote that expanded oil drilling — as President Obama last week said his administration would approve — “will simply continue our reliance on dirty fossil fuels, while doing little to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”
Fox wrote that President Obama “must now deliver a comprehensive plan for curbing carbon pollution so we can invest in the clean energy technologies we will need in the 21st century.
