John Murtha's widow will not seek his Pa. seat

John and wife Joyce Murtha - Life Magazine

The widow of Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha will not run to replace her husband, The Associated Press reports.

Joyce Murtha feels it’s “too soon after his death to be on the campaign trail,” according to an email the AP said it received Monday from the Murtha for Congress Committee.

CQ Politics reports that another person with close ties to John Murtha is poised to enter the race: Mark Critz, the late congressman’s district director.
